Job Description TITLE: Sr. Manager of Maintenance/Assistant DOM (Assistant Director of Maintenance) REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance OVERVIEW: The Sr. Manager of Maintenance/Assistant DOM (Assistant Director of Maintenance) primary authority is the supervision of all AMTs (including Contract Mechanics) during Maintenance and repairs of company aircraft and related equipment. The Sr. Maintenance Manager/Assistant DOM is a person directly in charge of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations, provides leadership and oversight of maintenance personnel without direct continuous supervision, ensuring availability to consult, guide, and make decisions on matters requiring higher-level authority in accordance with 14 CFR 121.378(b). The Sr. Maintenance Manager/Assistant DOM has oversight of the Maintenance locations and out stations where Global Crossing Airlines, Inc. has Maintenance operations and additional Maintenance oversight is needed. The role holds the authority to remove aircraft from service for safety or maintenance program concerns and ensures continuous airworthiness and operational reliability. DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: • Continually design/implement action plans to reduce maintenance related delays and cancellations., • Create/administer/manage the department’s work schedules including managing/approving vacations, monitoring sick time and absences., • Maintain department goals, performance objectives and training (including recurrent training) of all Maintenance Control personnel., • Administer and manage all departmental self-audits. · If so directed, participate in the Reliability Board Meeting., • Complete in a timely manner all other duties assigned by the VPTO/DOM., • Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs. FAA Certificated Mechanic possessing Airframe and Powerplant ratings., • Coordinate and administer timely ordering and shipment of aircraft parts and equipment to support out of service aircraft., • Has authority to remove any aircraft (with approval from DOM) from operational service for reasons of safety or issues with the Maintenance Program., • Monitor aircraft status, taking appropriate action when maintenance problems arise or when it is anticipated that daily operations will be affected., • Ensure maintenance assigned the correct checks for the overnight aircraft and coordinates with the Dispatchers on the checks required during the day operation., • Monitor, report and maintain TRAX for Company maintenance operations., • Evaluate Technical Operations procedures for effectiveness and recommend revisions as necessary by completing a Management of Change (MOC) per MPP 11.123, • Supervision of assigned personnel, ensuring the dissemination of company policy and procedure changes, • Ensure each assigned employee is safety conscious and is aware of and follows safe work practices and habits, • Advise the Materials Administrator regarding necessary additional items, components, or assemblies, which should be purchased for stock or aircraft improvement, • In conjunction with the Chief Inspector, ensure that AMTs have been trained, approved, officially designated and certificated to accomplish Airworthiness Release and “RII” duties., • Maintain timely and professional communication, including consistent monitoring and response to emails, and ensure all administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and within required timeframes. DAILY CONTROL: • Non-routine maintenance functions in coordination with MCC, • Ensure that the Deferred Maintenance Item List is reviewed during periodic maintenance and necessary corrective actions are accomplished., • Routine maintenance functions in coordination with Planning., • Assist in determining the adequacy of spare parts and material supplies to properly maintain the aircraft and its components., • Advise the Materials Administrator regarding necessary additional items, components, or assemblies, which should be purchased for stock or aircraft improvement., • Know the status of open work items for all aircraft, facilities and equipment, and then coordinate the completion of those open items., • Ensure qualified personnel are assigned to accomplish the required maintenance, repair, or alterations of the aircraft, engines, or components., • In conjunction with the Chief Inspector, ensure that AMTs have been trained, approved, officially designated and certificated to accomplish Airworthiness Release and “RII” duties., • Ensure that AMTs have proper authority to perform engine run-up and taxi operations. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in maintenance of large transport category aircraft., • Minimum 5 years' managerial experience, • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills., • Airframe and Power Plant Certificate required, • Bachelor’s degree (preferred), • Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations., • Create and implement maintenance procedures., • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems., • Plan and manage all repair and installation activities., • Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures., • Supervision of assigned personnel, ensuring the dissemination of company policy and procedure changes., • Ensure each assigned employee is safety conscious and is aware of and follows safe work practices and habits., • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and administer/delegate responsibilities to subordinates as required. OFFICE HOURS AND SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, on-site position scheduled Monday through Friday during standard office business hours. Travel will be required based on operational needs, including aircraft recovery, audits, or special maintenance events. Flexibility is required to support irregular operations, AOG events, and maintenance escalations as needed.
