Duties and Responsibilities: • Fabricates, commissions, installs, troubleshoots and repairs fluid power systems and equipment., • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on fluid power systems by utilizing reference materials including manuals, schematics, drawings and procedures., • Conducts tests, inspections and evaluations of mechanical, electrical and software components relating to fluid power systems and equipment., • Seeks sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction, in addition to keeping accurate records of service calls, maintaining inventory of service parts, tools, and test equipment., • Operates independently in the field and directly with customers., • Responds to customer emergency service requests., • Responsible for delivering high quality service and customer satisfaction., • Facilitates project management. Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of design and product specifications relating to industrial controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems., • Fluent understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electromechanical schematics/drawings and terminology., • Strong mechanical aptitude., • Experience in welding, tube and hydraulic hose fabrication, bending and end conditioning, metal fabrication, electrical controls and wiring, and painting., • Good math and reading skills., • Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently.Education:, • High school diploma or GED required., • 2-year degree in a specialized area a plus., • 5+ years of experience in fluid power repair and assembly required., • Certified Hydraulic Technician a plus., • Certified in MIG or TIG welding a plus. Supervisory responsibilities: • None specifically associated with this position. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
