Seiden Curator and Department Head of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts (the “Seiden Curator”), overseeing the Morgan’s exceptional collection of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts. With the department’s two Assistant (or Associate) Curators, the Seiden Curator conceives and executes exhibitions, stewards the care of the collection and its growth, conducts research and publishes on the collection, and helps provide appropriate access to the collection to researchers, students, and the general public. The Seiden Curator is a leader in the field, well-regarded among peers, who is comfortable participating in a wide range of activities related to medieval and Renaissance manuscripts and is skillful in their ability to relate to varied constituencies inside and outside the Morgan. Departmental strategic planning, donor relations, staff supervision, and budgeting are important responsibilities of this position. MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with a disability to perform the essential duties unless this causes undue hardship to the agency., • Provide counseling, treatment, rehabilitation, case management and support services in the community to mentally ill individuals., • Assume primary clinical management responsibility for a caseload of young adults with serious and persistent mental illness, who may also have a co-occurring substance abuse or other disorder., • Assume lead responsibility within the program for integrating family goals and services with the tasks of all program staff and for providing family psycho-education individually and in groups., • Assist consumers in attaining or maintaining housing, employment, functional social relationships, and relief from psychiatric symptoms and side effects through medication management support., • Assertive engagement and provision of mental health services in the community where the service population lives – up to 80% of weekly work schedule may involve fieldwork., • On-call responsibility for individuals enrolled in the program., • Provide all services in a culturally relevant and competent manner., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Case Records, including but not limited to progress notes, service plan and service plan reviews, assessments and contact logs within keeping of all-applicable OMH, Medicaid, and ICL Regulations and Guidelines., • Provide support and psychoeducation to family members, friends and other collateral individuals., • Provide referrals and engagement support for services not directly provided by the program, e.g., medical services, participation in psychosocial clubhouses and self-help groups, vocational training and placement, etc., • Provide accurate and timely reports, within federal, state, and city regulatory and agency confidentiality guidelines, to other providers and agencies, e.g. housing, vocational, criminal justice, child welfare, etc., • Participates in individual and group supervision, treatment team meetings, case conferences, in-service training and other staff development activities as assigned., • Observes all ICL, OMH, and all other applicable rules, procedures or laws regarding the reporting of incidents, including the reporting of alleged child abuse and neglect., • Reports to work consistently and on time., • Other job-related duties that may be assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Master’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, Creative Arts Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation. Applicable professional license in field issued by NYS Education Department strongly preferred. Job DescriptionBergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions for our Graphic Design program for Spring 2026. Visual Arts Department: The mission of the department of visual arts at Bergen Community is to provide students with instruction, experience and encouragement in the practice of visual art and the study of the history of art and visual culture. Our courses, taught by professors who are also professionals active in their fields, impart current information and techniques and promote the development of students’ thinking about art, media, and culture. The Visual Arts Department is located on the main campus in Paramus in West Hall. Facilities include state-of-the-art studios for computer animation, computer graphics, drawing/painting, digital and darkroom photography and digital projection for the teaching of the history of art. The Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.)- Graphic Design/Computer Graphics program option is designed to provide students with the coursework needed to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. The curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a pathway to careers in graphic design/computer graphics as graphic designers, art directors, multimedia artists, and animators. Students can take coursework and concentrated options in graphic design. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with Bergen Community College faculty and Career Services as they begin to explore career options. Courses and Requirements: We are looking for adjunct faculty to teach within the AAS Graphic Design/Computer Graphics program. Courses include: • Typography, • Web Development, • 2-D design, • Graphic Design Applicants should be well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
