The Cancer Institute consists of three ACVIM board-certified oncologists, one ACVR board-certified radiation oncologist, and one ACVS board-certified Fellow in Surgical Oncology, three residents in medical oncology, two residents in radiation oncology, one specialty intern in medical oncology, and 32 rotating general interns. Supporting services to the Cancer Institute include high-field MRI, 64-slice CT with advanced reconstruction capabilities, and Interventional Radiology. Additionally, the AMC has an on-site IDEXX laboratory including on-site clinical and anatomical pathologists with stat cytology capabilities. The AMC is equipped with a new Elekta Infinity Linac system with electron and 6-MV photon capability equipped with a 6-degree HexaPOD couch and a cone-beam CT for IMRT, VMAT and SRS and for 4DCT respiratory gating. We are also equipped with the most updated version of the Monaco computer treatment planning system licensed for all 3D IMRT, VMAT and SRS planning as well as for Electron Monte Carlo planning. Our CT couch is equipped with an iBEAM evo CT overlay table for proper CT simulation imaging to match the Linac couch. The Radiation Oncology department is also equipped with a Strontium probe for the treatment of small surface lesions (ex: feline nasal planum SCC, feline cutaneous MCT and avian uropygial SCC). Hematology/Oncology Director needed in Albany, NYFull TimePermanentMedical group seeks to recruit a full-time Hematologist Oncologist Medical Director for our outstanding and well-established Cancer Care program. Our multi-site practice has two beautiful locations, both located on hospital campuses. The cancer program includes not only hematology oncology but also radiation oncology, a full suite of surgical services, full radiologic services, and complimentary services as well.The Medical Director will lead a team of five physicians and four advanced practitioners. The practice enjoys access to a tumor boards program, grand rounds, and treats a wide range of cancers including ample access to high quality surgical services; from breast to thoracic to hepatobiliary/pancreatic care.Opportunity Details: - Medical Director works out of two hospital campuses- Troy & Albany (approx. 15 mins apart) - Responsible for supervision of 6 physicians and 6 advanced practitioners - We have a team of 4 Radiation Oncologists (not responsible for their supervision, they have their own chief) - This is a clinical lead role- approx. 5-10% administrative time - Week call is 1:7 weeks, medical director is participating in the call rotation - Albany 50-80 clinic patients.
