In this role, you will be responsible for performing the lead systems engineering functions in the conception, design, and development of spaceborne systems operating in cis-lunar space. You will initially support the development, launch, commissioning, and operations of a CubeSat Program in Low Earth Orbit, with other projects to follow. Responsibilities • Perform precision hand soldering and rework of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including removal and replacement of 0402 and smaller SMT components using hot air, micro-soldering, and reflow techniques, • Hand-solder (population/depopulation) Bottom Termination Components (BTC), • Modify traces or pads and run jumper wire on PCB, • Support subassemblies and fabricate test harnesses for avionics testing, • Perform component kitting from inventory as needed, • Support hardware troubleshooting with Engineering teams to resolve board failures and design updates, • Maintain ESD-safe practices at all times when handling electronics, • Provide training to other technicians to help scale production across development and flight, • 5+ years of experience soldering electronic components for PCBAs, • Proficiency with basic tools: soldering irons, hot air tools, and component handling for 0201, 0402, and BGA/QFN packages, • Experience with reballing and reworking fine-pitch BGAs, • Demonstrated ability to rework and repair complex assemblies to IPC-7711/7721 standards, • Experience building and inspecting flight-quality cable and harness assemblies, • Ability to follow schematics, work instructions, and drawings with minimal supervision, • Familiarity with ESD requirements for components and PCB/PCBAs, • IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-7711/7721, J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739.3, • Experience fabricating harnesses from assembly drawings and schematics, • Ability to read, review, and redline electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, • Experience with various potting and encapsulation techniques, • Previous experience supporting environmental or functional testing of avionics assemblies, • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as bending or twisting, grasping, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, carrying, and use hands to operate tools or machine controls, • Must be able to lift and carry parts or equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted, • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, • Hourly pay range for this non-exempt role is $38 – $48 + equity in the company, • Compensation will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level If you need a reasonable accommodation as part of your application for employment or interviews with us, please let us know. As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will play a critical role in ensuring delivery excellence for our customers in the defense and aerospace sectors. What You’ll Do * Own customer profit and loss outcomes in collaboration with Account Executives by aligning business strategy, internal capabilities, and customer expectations. * Lead and coach a cross-functional team of Manufacturing Engineers to ensure timely and high-quality part delivery. * Act as the primary escalation point for customer issues and operational blockers, coordinating with factory, engineering, and software teams. * Identify and advocate for new internal capabilities based on recurring customer needs and long-term automation opportunities. * Design and implement scalable internal processes, including feedback loops with software teams, to support operational excellence and continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For * 7+ years of experience in technical, commercial, or program management roles in aerospace, defense, or related manufacturing environments. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). * Proven ability to manage customer relationships, drive P&L results, and lead cross-functional teams. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including negotiation and stakeholder engagement. * Proficiency in relevant tools such as Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and manufacturing operations software. What Will Set You Apart * Experience managing programs for customers with Department of Defense, NASA, or other federal contracts. * Background in scaling operations or implementing automation in manufacturing environments. * Familiarity with ERP systems, PLM tools, and supply chain data analytics. * Prior success in leading customer business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Compensation For this role, the target salary range is $148,000 - $200,000 (actual range may vary based on experience). This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
