Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 12/01/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Unit Description – Pediatric Respiratory Therapy Department Type of Unit: • Specialized Pediatric Respiratory Therapy unit providing acute and critical respiratory care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents., • Pediatric patients with respiratory distress, asthma, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, ARDS, cystic fibrosis, congenital heart defects, and post-operative respiratory support needs., • Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), • Start Date: 12/01/2025 | Contract Duration: 13 weeks, • On-Call: May be required, • Weekends: As needed (weekend block may be considered), • Block Schedule: Not available, • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients under physician supervision., • Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, adjust ventilator settings, and manage airway support devices., • Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula therapy., • Administer and monitor bronchodilators, mucolytics, and aerosolized medications., • Assist in intubations, extubations, and transport of ventilated patients within the facility., • Perform nebulizer treatments, airway clearance techniques, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy., • Provide emergency response support during pediatric codes and rapid response activations., • Pediatric and neonatal ventilator management (Servo, Hamilton, or Dräger systems), • CPAP/BiPAP/High Flow Nasal Cannula setup and monitoring, • Suctioning (ETT, nasotracheal, and oral), • Tracheostomy care and decannulation support, • Blood gas sampling and analysis, • Airway management during transport and procedures, • Pediatric oxygen titration and humidification systems, • Active TN RRT License (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — CRT not accepted, • BLS and PALS (AHA), • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Respiratory Therapy experience required, • Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted, • Charting System: Epic or equivalent, • Ventilator Platforms: Servo-i, Hamilton, Dräger, and V60, • Monitoring Systems: GE, Philips IntelliVue, • 24/7 access to pediatric intensivists, respiratory physicians, anesthesia, and emergency teams, • Location: 848 Adams Ave, Memphis, TN 38103, • Facility Type: Children’s Hospital | Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, • System: Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, • Flu Vaccine: Required (No exemptions) | COVID Vaccine: Not required, • Local Rule: No locals within 100 miles Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
