Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 04/20/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 20, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Inpatient imaging ultrasound department at a Level II Trauma Center — the only such center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, • Main work site is the primary regional medical center campus, with potential to float to other locations within the organization as staffing needs dictate, • Patient population spans all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, • Procedures include general ultrasound (OBGYN, small parts, abdominal, soft tissue), cardiovascular/cardiac ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound, • Invasive procedures may include paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, contrast/agitated saline injections, line placement assistance, and thrombin injection exams, • Examinations may be performed in the ultrasound department or any nursing floor as needed, • 4x10 night shifts, Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM, • Schedule may vary based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and call shifts, • Some on-call shifts are required, • EMR: Epic — training provided during orientation or candidates may test outRequirements, • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound/sonography, • Experience in OBGYN, small parts, cardiovascular, and pediatric ultrasound highly preferred, • RDMS, RVT, or RDCS credential from ARDMS required, • AHA BLS required, • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible, • License required if applicableAdditional Information, • Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures across general, cardiac, and/or vascular modalities per physician orders and established protocols, • Responsible for reviewing images for identification, technique, and completeness per governing body standards (ASE/ICAEL for cardiac, SDMS/ACR for general, SVU/ICAVL for vascular), • May mentor sonography students from CAAHEP-accredited programs, including teaching protocols, equipment operation, and documentation, • Participates in accreditation and re-accreditation processes for applicable modalities, • Facility uses KRONOS for time keeping, • Minimum of 2 major holidays will be required during the contract, • Blocked scheduling is not permitted, • Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have a 13-week break after the end of their last contract before returning With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
