What you'll do The People Operations Coordinator reports to the VP of People + People Operations and supports the day-to-day work of our People Operations (POps) team. This role is ideal for someone early in their People Ops career who is excited to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-moving, tech-enabled environment. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across core People Ops functions including onboarding, HRIS administration, recruiting coordination, and total rewards support. You will also help coordinate employee engagement activities and serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, with guidance and support from experienced team members. Your ImpactRecruitment & Onboarding Administration • Recruitment support for global workforce - support full-time and contractor hiring by assisting with job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, offer letters, background checks, and onboarding handoff, helping create a positive and compliant hiring experience, • Administer onboarding processes by facilitating the smooth integration of new hires by preparing new hire paperwork, processing Form I-9s, and ensuring all compliance requirements are metEmployee Lifecycle & HRIS Support, • Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (job changes, personal updates, documentation), • Process employee lifecycle events (hires, transfers, leaves, terminations), • Support data audits and routine system checks to ensure accuracy and compliance, • Assist with employee records management and file organizationPeople Programs & Engagement Support, • Provide logistical and administrative support for company-wide people programs, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, training, and professional development, • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, wellness activities, internal events, team communications, and DEI initiativesPeople Systems & Help Desk Support, • Serve as the first point of contact for People Ops help desk tickets, • Route, track, and escalate employee inquiries as needed, • Support basic administration of People systems (HRIS, ATS, performance tools), • Assist with system documentation, workflows, and permissions supportBenefits & Compliance Administration, • Support compliance and audit processes - assist with maintaining organized HR documentation and support audits by gathering records and helping ensure alignment with internal policies and external requirements, • Support benefits administration tasks (enrollments, life events, employee changes), • Assist with open enrollment processes and benefits audits, • Help maintain organized compliance documentation and records, • Route benefits and compliance-related questions to appropriate SMEsPeople Data, Reporting & Process Support, • Support scaling People Ops processes through documentation, audits, and tool optimization - learn and contribute to efforts that improve and scale People Ops processes, tools, and documentation as the company growsWhat you bring to the table, • 1–2 years of experience in a People Operations, HR, or People Coordinator role (or equivalent experience), with demonstrated hands-on exposure to core HR processes such as onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, and employee support in a tech-enabled environment, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, • Comfort learning and working in HR systems and tools, with a basic understanding of employment laws and confidentiality, • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalismBonus points, • Experience in a fast-paced tech or startup environment, • Exposure to benefits administration, employee relations, or compliance work iSeatz is a remote-first organization. This role is designed as a remote position; however, we are prioritizing candidates located in the New Orleans area to support occasional in-person needs, including team events, meetings, and office coordination. There is no requirement for a regular in-office schedule, but the ability to be onsite periodically is an important aspect of this role. Headquartered in New Orleans, iSeatz operates on Central Time business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT). While we support flexible schedules, coordination during core business hours is expected to support team collaboration and time-sensitive needs.
