The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN ensures residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in accordance with care plans and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, • Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health status, • Assist in developing and updating individualized care plans, • Document care accurately in medical records, • Supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), • Respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions, • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members, • Ensure compliance with state and federal nursing home regulations Qualifications: • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing, • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, • CPR certification (required), • Previous long-term care experience preferred Skills: • Strong clinical and assessment skills, • Compassionate bedside manner, • Attention to detail, • Effective communication and teamwork
