Job DescriptionHuman Resources Generalist & Recruiter Fort Lauderdale, FL Salary: $55,000 - $58,000 (based on experience) Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) deferred compensation plan with employer match, tuition reimbursement, two (2) paid personal days, eleven (11) paid holidays, and paid leave time. The employer also pays for life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability.General Purpose of the Position:The Human Resources Generalist & Recruiter plays a key role in supporting human resources activities, with a primary focus on recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and staff development. This position involves managing daily HR responsibilities, including the coordination of performance evaluations, staff changes (e.g., transfers, promotions, separations), and recruitment for various positions. The HR Generalist & Recruiter will also assist in facilitating training, conducting background checks, managing HR records, and supporting employee counseling and issue resolution. The position requires regular in-person interaction with internal teams, managers, and external applicants. Work is to be performed onsite at CSBD.Essential Responsibilities and Duties: • Staff Changes & Documentation:, • Complete ISG Status forms for staff changes (awards, transfers, merit increases, separations, etc.) for VP of HR review and signature., • Maintain Master Roster of all staff hires, separations, transfers, and promotions., • Update & maintain merit increase tracker and Activity Tracker with hires, retention, and evaluations., • Conduct periodic review of ISG organizational charts before posting., • Performance Management:, • Monitor performance evaluations and follow up with Center Managers and supervisors to ensure timely completion. Maintain performance evaluation reports., • Assist in the facilitation of performance reviews based on established performance metrics for all employees., • Maintain and update performance management records in HRIS., • Recruitment & Staffing:, • Assist with recruitment, screening, and selection for assigned positions, including phone screenings and serving on interview panels., • Manage the job posting and selection process, ensuring compliance with organizational needs., • Complete reference checks and employment verifications., • Employee Relations:, • Provide support and guidance for employee counseling and issue resolution., • Address routine HR-related questions and provide information to employees and applicants as needed., • Training & Development:, • Assess training needs, track training progress, and assist with the development and delivery of training programs., • Coordinate and participate in employee orientation, onboarding, and other training activities as required., • Payroll & Benefits:, • Review and verify bi-weekly ISG Roster of staff, including salary details, and submit to Payroll Specialist, Controller, Accountant II, Sr. VP of Finance, and VP of HR for processing., • Ensure payroll processing and benefits administration are accurate and timely., • Administrative Support:, • Coordinate bi-monthly New Hire Meet & Greet sessions., • Conduct level 1 background checks; update background check tracker and reconcile purchase requisitions., • Complete procurement process for assigned requests, including purchase and check requisitions., • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures., • Prepare and maintain the required HR reports assigned by management., • Special Projects & Other Duties:, • Participate in special HR-related projects and perform other duties as assigned to support the HR department and organization’s goals.Supervisory Controls and Guidelines:, • This position reports directly to the Managing Partner and Vice President of Human Resources., • The incumbent exercises discretion and independent judgment in decision-making related to staffing, recruitment, and HR administration., • Work is performed independently with oversight and guidance from senior HR leadership.Education, Experience, and Knowledge Required:, • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required., • A minimum of three years of relevant human resources experience, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and performance management, is required., • PHR certification or equivalent HR certification is preferred., • Strong knowledge of HR federal and state laws, HRIS systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and recruiting best practices., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR software and job boards., • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Skills and Qualifications:, • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization., • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment., • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and improve processes., • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments., • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.ADA Requirements:, • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
