Job Description Job Title: TIG Welder Shift : M-F 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m Pay $ 20+ /hr FT LAUDERDALE Job Description The TIG Welder fabricates machine stands and related components by interpreting blueprints, performing precise TIG welding on various metals, and ensuring all finished products meet specified quality and dimensional standards. This role involves working from drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and completing assemblies in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Fabricate stands and components for machines according to engineering blueprints and drawings., • Perform TIG welding on a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal., • Measure and cut raw materials accurately using tape measures, rulers, and related tools., • Fit, assemble, and align parts prior to welding to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances., • Read and interpret blueprints and prints to determine material requirements, weld locations, and fabrication steps., • Use fabrication equipment and tools, such as press brakes and grinders, to form, prepare, and finish parts., • Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to verify they meet blueprint specifications and quality standards., • Perform grinding and finishing operations to clean, smooth, and prepare welds and surfaces as required., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures in a warehouse/manufacturing setting., • Minimum of 3+ years of welding experience with a strong focus on TIG welding., • Proficiency in TIG welding on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal., • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and prints for fabrication and assembly., • Ability to accurately measure and cut materials using a tape measure, ruler, and related measuring tools., • Hands-on experience with metal fabrication, including fitting, assembly, and welding of components., • Competence in using grinders and other basic fabrication tools for weld preparation and finishing., • Strong attention to detail to ensure fabricated parts meet dimensional and quality requirements., • Experience operating a press brake or other metal forming equipment., • Expierence in general welding and fabrication beyond TIG, such as other welding processes or assembly work., • Familiarity with working from detailed blueprints in a production or job-shop environment., • Solid understanding of basic shop math to support accurate measuring, cutting, and fitting. Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse/manufacturing environment focused on metal fabrication and welding. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., providing a 40-hour work week with an additional 1 to 5 hours of overtime as needed. You will work with metals such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal using TIG welding equipment, press brakes, grinders, tape measures, rulers, and other common fabrication tools. The environment is active and production-oriented, requiring adherence to safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for a shop setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
