Job DescriptionSalary: Competitive/Based on Exp The Source is a Joint Commission-accredited addiction treatment facility that offers multiple levels of care to help men and women overcome alcohol and drug addiction. Our mission is to provide a family environment where clients get connected to their mind, body, and spirit through support groups, 12-step programs, and society. We are looking to hire an energetic and motivated substance abuse and dual diagnosis IOP Primary Therapist with a background in addictions preferred. We are looking for a part-time therapist at his time, leading to full-time. Also, we are looking for like-minded people to assist clients in learning how to live a clean and sober life. Responsibilities include: • Manage a caseload of approximately 810 clients: Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy., • Utilize knowledge and skills to provide group psychotherapy, meeting the patients treatment needs and requirements., • Document in the patients chart on a regular basis and complete patient caseload in timely manner., • Facilitate team interaction for discharge planning., • Share pertinent information with treatment team as obtained from client, clients family members, or significant others., • Participate as a team member in all treatment team meetings and provides input regarding clients needs and requirements., • Discuss relapse warning signs and relapse prevention techniques and strategies and develops plans accordingly., • Document provided services in progress notes in a clear, concise, timely manner., • Assist the client(s) with developing discharge goals and objectives., • Provide pertinent client information based on evaluation, and group and individual session interactions, to assist in the patient treatment process., • Assist in developing aspects of treatment plans and treatment plan updates in collaboration with other treatment team members., • Act as a liaison to community agencies providing psychiatric services., • Provides community awareness education and in-services on behalf of the agency., • Knowledge of program policies and procedures., • Share pertinent information with team as obtained from patients or family throughout the program., • Collaborate with the medical staff to provide treatment services., • Attend staff meetings., • Document client progress/regression according to established policies and procedures., • Continue with educational courses and in-services training, per policies and procedures., • Update knowledge of community resources on a continuous basis., • Conduct group and individual counseling sessions., • Respond positively to changing situations in the work setting., • Work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity., • Demonstrate good communication skills., • Perform in a professional manner and role models a positive image of mental health., • Report abuse of clients rights immediately., • Participate in obtaining the clients' informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate., • Knowledge of Baker Act procedure, and of team members responsibilities in Baker Act situations., • Participate in Performance Improvement monitoring and evaluating activities., • Act decisively and effectively in managing staff, patients, and other employees during emergency situation., • Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and character., • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and clients in a positive manner., • Knowledge of evidence-based practices., • Understanding of Substance Use Disorders and Co-occurring Disorders., • Experience in database management and record keeping., • Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality and privacy practices., • Solution-based thinker and problem solver., • Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills., • Knowledge of DCF Guidelines and Joint Commission Accreditation Standards., • Minimum of one year of experience in Mental Health/Social Work., • Master's Degree in related field (Mental Health Counseling/Psychology/Social Work), • Licensed professional (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
