This role bridges the gap between business, technology, and end users — ensuring digital and store experiences are seamless, data-driven, and aligned with the company’s omnichannel strategy. The Staff Product Owner partners closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features that improve sales performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction across online and physical stores. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Product Office at CITY Furniture. Position Title: Staff Product Owner Reports To: Vice President, Office of CIO Location: On-site/ Tamarac Corporate office Department/Sub-Department: Technology/ OCIO Product & Demand Salary: Starting at $120,000 What You’ll Do*… As a Staff Product Owner, your primary responsibilities will be: · Product Strategy & Roadmap: • Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and success metrics aligned with retail business objectives., • Translate business needs into a clear product roadmap with measurable outcomes., • Partner with stakeholders across merchandising, stores, supply chain, marketing, and eCommerce to identify opportunities that enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.· Backlog Management:, • Own and manage the product backlog; write clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria., • Prioritize features and technical enablers based on business value, customer impact, and delivery capacity., • Collaborate with architects and engineers to balance feature delivery with technical sustainability.· Cross-Functional Collaboration:, • Act as the voice of the customer and business in Agile teams., • Partner with UX/UI, analytics, and engineering to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable retail solutions., • Work closely with QA and business teams to ensure high-quality product releases and readiness for store or digital deployment.· Delivery & Value Realization:, • Participate in sprint ceremonies and drive clarity in scope, definition of done, and acceptance testing., • Measure and communicate product performance using KPIs such as conversion rate, basket size, attach rate, inventory accuracy, or order fulfillment speed., • Omnichannel Enablement:, • Ensure a unified retail experience across POS, OMS, CRM, and eCommerce platforms., • Support features that bridge digital and physical experiences (e.g., BOPIS, endless aisle, clienteling, digital receipts, promotions, and loyalty)., • Partner with supply chain and logistics to enable real-time inventory visibility and smooth fulfillment., • Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role., • Additional duties may be assigned as needed, beyond those listed in the responsibilities. What We’re Looking For… • Competencies and Job Specific Skills, • Strong understanding of retail operations — including POS, OMS, pricing, promotions, and customer experience., • Ability to define clear business cases and translate them into technical requirements., • Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills. What’s Required… • Education & Work Experience:, • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution., • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a retail or omnichannel environment., • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments., • Work Environment & Schedule:, • Monday through Friday, • Up to 10% of Travel, • Physical Requirements:, • Prolonged sitting and computer use, • Prolonged standing, • Technology Requirements:, • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.), • Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), • JIRA, • Confluence, • Figma, • Certifications / Licenses, • Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
