Job Description Sous Chef – Adolescent Residential Treatment Program Location: Concord, CA Schedule: Tues-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 8am-4pm Make a meaningful impact while doing what you love in the kitchen. We’re looking for a creative and experienced Sous Chef to join our adolescent residential treatment program, where every meal supports teens during one of the most pivotal times in their lives. Our clients, ages 12 to 17, are working toward healing and stability. Your meals will fuel their days, help them feel safe and cared for, and bring moments of comfort during recovery. What You’ll Do In this role you’ll take the lead in our onsite kitchen, preparing fresh, appealing meals for teens in our residential care setting. Your responsibilities include: • Preparing, cooking, and presenting daily meals for adolescents ages 12–17, • Coordinating all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth meal service from prep to plating, • Creating and following recipes, developing new dishes, and planning exciting daily and weekly specials, • Preparing cold items and handling frying, grilling, and sautéing, • Maintaining clean, safe, and organized workstations, • Ensuring top-tier hygiene and food safety standards, • Managing and lifting kitchen equipment, pots, and supplies as needed, • Supporting a structured, positive environment that contributes to client wellness, • Occasionally mentoring or teaching teens who participate in kitchen-related activities What We’re Looking For We’d love to meet candidates who bring heart, creativity, and a strong culinary foundation.
