Job DescriptionSalary: $22 Assist with painting sign panels, posts, and poles. Responsible for color matching, applying finishes, and supporting sign assembly. This role also provides backup support to others in the department as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Clean panels and other surfaces to remove dust, grease, and rough edges before painting, • Mix paint according to established formulas and job specifications, • Match and mix custom paint colors as needed for different jobs, • Apply graffiti coating and back-paint acrylic pieces when required, • Assist with moving sign panels to and from the painters wall, • Keep a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment, • Properly dispose of used rags and materials following safety procedures, • Maintain records of paint colors used, including color samples, job names, and dates, • Notify the department lead when paint inventory is low or materials need to be restocked, • Attend company and department meetings as required, • Support and uphold company's Core Values in all work performed, • Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES • 1+ year of experience in painting, color mixing, or working in a production or fabrication environment. Experience with painting with automotive-style paint guns and techniques., • Basic understanding of paint mixing and surface preparation techniques., • Ability to follow paint formulas and match colors accurately., • Comfortable using hand tools and cleaning equipment., • Ability to follow safety procedures, including proper disposal of materials like paint and rags., • Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining color consistency and ensuring high-quality finishing work., • Capable of lifting, moving, and positioning sign panels safely., • Basic recordkeeping skills for tracking paint formulas and job details., • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team., • Willingness to cross-train and assist in other duties as needed. Ability to write and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
