JOB SUMMARY We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and build our internal platform that empowers product teams to ship software with confidence, reliability, and speed. This role brings a Software Engineering mindset to infrastructure: building reusable abstractions, internal services, developer tooling, and infrastructure primitives that reduce cognitive load for application teams and the Infrastructure team itself. You will own core platform components such as our TypeScript Pulumi codebase, Kubernetes-based runtime environments, and monitoring stack. The work centers on architecting scalable systems, enforcing engineering standards through code, and continuously improving developer experience through well-engineered platform capabilities. Position Summary: OceanX is seeking a Marine Operations Intern to support the Marine Operations team and help ensure the operational readiness of our state-of-the-art research vessels, submersibles, and Personal fleet. This role supports critical logistical functions across fleet operations, including crew review processes, purchasing coordination, and operational documentation. Working closely with Marine Operations leadership and cross-functional teams, the intern will assist with mid-year and end-of-year crew review processes, procurement coordination, and administrative workflows that support seamless fleet operations. The role also provides exposure to the systems and maritime technologies that underpin advanced ocean exploration. This program will run from June through August and involves working approximately 40 hours per week. This opportunity operates on a hybrid work schedule in our NYC office to allow for in-person meetings/collaboration.
