Westbury Site and Building Contractors in business for over 30 years are looking for a HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC with 10-20 years of experience working on heavy trucks, backhoes, excavators, loaders, telescopic forklifts, man lifts, compressors, forklifts, skid-steer and other fleet vehicles. Responsibilities will include: • Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing any defective parts • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work • Diagnosing malfunctions or problems using a computerized system or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues • Repairing and verifying any emission control systems • Ordering parts as required • Understanding the inner workings of various fleet equipment • Will have a mechanic truck fully equipped to fulfill duties as well as a shop garage • Experience troubleshooting all type of electrical systems • NYS Class 1 drivers license preferred Speaking Spanish or Portuguese a plus but not required.
