West Coast Trial Lawyers is hiring a Legal Assistant to support our attorneys with Minor’s Compromise petitions. These filings require a high level of detail, organization, and follow-through. We're looking for someone who’s proactive, dependable, and ready to take ownership of time-sensitive tasks from start to finish. Responsibilities • Drafting and preparing Minor’s Compromise petitions, • Filing documents with the court and handling corrections or resubmissions, • Calendaring hearings and deadlines to avoid delays or missed appearances, • Coordinating with accounting to ensure timely release of settlement checks, • Communicating with clients, court clerks, and other involved parties as needed, • Assisting with urgent, last-minute filings or court communications Requirements: • 1+ year of legal assistant or litigation support experience (PI experience highly preferred), • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal calendaring, • Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, • Excellent communication skills West Coast Trial Lawyers offers health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a health savings account (HSA), a 401(k) plan with employer contributions, paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays.
