The Floor Support Associate ensures the tables and bar are bussed and cleaned in a timely manner. Provide full operational support during service, maintaining the cleanliness of the venue pre-service, during service, and after service. Set and reset tables in a timely manner, constantly manicuring tables and bar throughout service, clearing tables with efficiency and grace. Assist in fulfilling soft beverage orders, coffee & tea orders. In addition provide full operational support to Expediter, Servers, Managers, Bartenders and to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner in accordance with all Gjelina standards and procedures. This role welcomes customers into their establishment. They create and serve hot or cold beverages, often tailored to the customer's preferences as Baristas. Provide consistent quality in the preparation of cold/hot drinks and brewing of coffee and tea. May a times also be the Barback (Bartender Assistant), is responsible for assisting Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently. Their duties include replacing kegs, restocking glasses and other supplies needed to make drinks and maintaining a clean dining space throughout their shift. Model Barback maintains the bar’s cleanliness and stocked bars for beverage service and preparation while upholding company standards and a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: • Verify par levels for all product and equipment needs within the designated work area at the beginning of every shift. Ensure that all areas are well stocked and bring shortages and/or needs to the manager’s attention., • Observe and anticipate guests’ needs. Must have the ability to manage time effectively with minimum supervision., • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form., • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar, product and beverage storage areas, pump/soda room, and surrounding areas., • Perform various opening and closing duties including sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash and debris., • Adhere to and enforce company, local, state, and government specific regulations., • Obtain and maintain required licensing or certifications., • Follow company and department policies and procedures, practices, and guidelines., • Adhere to company appearance and uniform standards, maintain a well-groomed appearance, posture, and hygiene., • Previous work experience as a barback in a comparable setting., • Flexibility to work varying schedules based upon business demand., • Possess superior customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor., • Ability to remain composed in delivering exceptional results in a high-paced environment., • Knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, and mixed cocktails. Job Description JOB PURPOSE: To include but not limited to: • Provides full prep support to Bartender and Bar Porters to ensure proper operation of the bar., • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for efficient operation of the bar, • Consistently following sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by managers and chefs., • Effectively communicating with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees., • Working as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries., • Greeting guests in a positive, friendly manner and making them feel welcome., • Anticipating the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency., • Maintaining a level of professionalism, that will make guests want to return., • Bidding farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return., • Building and establishing a personal clientele., • Encourage guests to make weekly table reservations, • Adhere to weekly table and guest list requirements, • Assist in developing restaurant database through networking and completing data cards., • Participate in weekly marketing requirements, • Performing all opening and closing duties, based upon shift assignment., • Following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and all health and safety regulations set by County health department., • 2 years of experience as a barback and/or bar porter in a similar, high-volume environment or 6 months required in a fine dining establishment., • Good communication skills; multilingual is a plus., • Must be able to speak and to read in English proficiently., • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. and active participant in social media, • Must have a working knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food., • Ability to work as part of a team in a high stress & high-volume environment., • Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure., • Positive attitude, self motivated, energetic and is a willing learner., • Ability to perform a variety of duties with extreme care, concern and detail., • Professionally groomed in a manner consistent with department grooming standards., • Physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware up to 50 lbs., • Physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time.

Working closely with the Pool Management Team and Bartenders, the Pool Model Barback will play an important role in supporting the Bartenders by ensuring outlets are clean, organized, always properly stocked and to service guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner as needed.
