About the Opportunity As Ember expands evening clinic hours (4-9 PM), we are seeking per-diem nurses for consistent evening coverage. This role offers a guaranteed minimum of 1-2 evenings per week, with opportunities to work up to all 5 weekday evenings. Additional ad-hoc daytime shifts may also be available. Per-diem evening nurses are a vital part of our supportive, mission-driven culture, partnering with excellent clinicians and administrators as part of the Ember evening team. Compensation starts at $60/hour, with potential to increase over time. Note: If you cannot commit to regular evening shifts, you may still be considered for our general per-diem pool, providing flexible coverage opportunities. Credentials Current New York State license as LPN, RN, CNS, or NP required. Responsibilities • Facilitate IV ketamine infusions in accordance with Ember protocols, • Monitor patients during infusion and manage/escalate complications, • Create a calm, safe, and professional environment, • Engage in therapeutic communications with patients before and after infusions, • Maintain accurate electronic medical records, • Keep a safe, organized, and clean work area, • Warm, compassionate, and empathetic, building trusting relationships easily, • Mission-driven, representing Ember with integrity and enthusiasm, • Skilled communicator, listening attentively and speaking effectively, • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to high-quality clinical work, • Skilled in IV placement and cardio-respiratory monitoring, • Comfortable with procedural sedation monitoring, • Experience in therapeutic patient communication, • Deliver high-quality, gold-standard care in a supportive, mission-driven environment, • Work alongside high-caliber clinicians and administrators, forming the core of Ember's evening team, • Enjoy predictable evening shifts while maintaining daytime flexibility, • Be among the first considered for full-time or expanded opportunities
