We seek a highly skilled and experienced Manager Wealth Management to join our team at Aspiriant. This role involves building and maintaining client relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, corporate executives, business owners, endowments, and foundations. They display integrated comprehension of wealth planning processes, proactively identify client issues, propose solutions, and research technical issues. Managers add insight to assessment and communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with clients. The position requires extensive contact with clients, prospects, and centers of influence. We recognize, respect and value the contributions of each employee, and we strive to cultivate a work environment that strikes an agreeable balance between our professional and personal lives. • Collaborative work environment where together we achieve more, • Environment supportive of learning and growing your career, • Continuing education assistance program, • 401(k) with company match, • Bonus program, • Company contribution up to 95% for health insurance Client Service • Manage most day-to-day aspects of client engagements, • Participate in client service teams as one of two or three Wealth Managers, • Proactively manage client communication and expectations, ensuring a high-touch service experience, • Work alongside the lead advisor to deliver and present tailored financial plans, investment reviews, and scenario evaluations aligned with client goals., • Collaborate closely with the lead advisor to develop and deliver targeted recommendations that are tailored to the client's unique circumstances, life milestones, and evolving goals., • Help coordinate with clients' tax, legal, and other outside advisors to ensure alignment and integration of planning strategies, • Manage and supervise (or self-prepare) meeting materials for use in personal financial planning engagements and ongoing wealth management work, • Prepare statements of net worth, cash flow, long-term capital sufficiency analyses based on personal financial goals, current financial data, tax rates, inflation rates, and investment assumptions. Prepare investment policy statements, and other tools for use in wealth planning engagements, • Prepare initial drafts of comprehensive meeting agendas and PowerPoint presentations, • Participate in the development and execution of recommended strategies for over- or under-capitalized clients, • Review client tax returns and tax projections as needed, to gather relevant insights and/or to model complex transactions and provide tax planning strategies to clients, • Review client estate planning documents and provide recommendations for modifications, if necessary. Assist clients with the development of new estate plans and work closely with outside estate planning attorneys while documents are being drafted to ensure they are complete and designed according to the client's intentions, • Perform high level reviews of the risk management posture of clients and supervise work with outside vendors to develop and implement insurance programs (life, property and casualty, health, long term care and disability), • Draft summary emails following client meetings, clarifying understandings, and outlining steps for implementation, • Manage meeting follow up, including coordination of internal and external (e.g., CPA, estate planner, insurance agent) resources; responsible for making sure everything gets done, • Initiate and respond to emails and phone calls (to/from clients and their other advisors) in a thorough and timely manner (within 24 hours) with prior consultation with a Wealth Management Director, • Draft trade proposals based on facts and circumstances, such as new cash under management and withdrawals requiring account re-balancing via iRebal. Recommend appropriate trades for monthly rebalancing of client portfolios, and other needs, as required, • Assist with the training and development of the associates, including preparing and delivering engagement reviews, • Research financial planning topics and coordinate projects from time to time as assigned by Wealth Planning Committee, • Actively participate in weekly firm-wide and client-specific strategy meetings and continuing education discussions An ideal candidate will be motivated by our mission to empower families to take control of their financial lives, live their values with clarity and peace of mind, and actualize their dreams. The attributes and talents that lead to success in the role are: Knowledge: • Skill in supervising the preparation of meeting materials, including agendas, planning assessments, and investment materials, • Strong analytical and project management skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Salesforce, • Must be extremely detail oriented, • Impeccable ability to maintain privacy, • OUTSTANDING written and verbal communication skills, • Enthusiasm for business development and fundamental business development skills, • A self-starter who takes responsibility for his/her work, • Ability to set priorities among a variety of tasks and an occasionally heavy volume of work, • Proficient with use of eMoney and/or financial planning applications preferred, • Experience using Salesforce as client relationship management software is helpful We will consider any combination of experience and education which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. A typical way to acquire the requirements would be: • Bachelor's degree required. Prefer Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, and/or significant experience in a related field. Graduate degree, CPA designation highly desirable, • Experience in comprehensive personal financial planning required (minimum 4 years' experience in financial planning and minimum 2 years actively managing client engagements) Primarily sedentary work in an office with minimal distractions; walking throughout the office. Learn and memorize tasks; execute tasks independently; apply knowledge and use judgment to manage situations. Occasionally exert up to ten pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Perform repetitive motions; substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers for computer keyboard operation. Use near visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing documents, operating a computer, and reading. Speak and hear to communicate with team members and clients by phone and in-person.
