Job DescriptionJob Title: Phlebotomist - Teaneck Job Description We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in Teaneck. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blood draws, specimen labeling, and centrifuging. You will play a crucial role in maintaining data records, ensuring proper specimen handling, and updating patient information. Responsibilities • Collect and store specimens according to established procedures., • Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients., • Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles., • Understand and follow all physicians' orders., • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes., • Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order., • Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts for accuracy., • Package specimens for transport while maintaining integrity., • Store specimens at required temperatures and label accurately., • Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations., • Attend annual department trainings., • Experience in blood draws and phlebotomy., • Must be bilingual in Spanish., • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience., • Proficiency with straight needle techniques., • GED or High School Diploma. You will work in an internal medicine office with a medium volume of patients expected daily. The role may expand to include more hours at different sites within the same medical group in the future. This position offers exposure to various smaller settings within a larger company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Teaneck, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
