About the job HATCH is an innovative maternity brand of thoughtfully designed solutions in apparel and maternity-safe skincare for before, during and after pregnancy. We’re seeking a Production Manager to join our talented and growing in-house team. This person must be hard-working, passionate, innovative and organized. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter — someone who is going to help define and grow our brand for years to come! This person will work directly with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Development, Planning, Marketing, Wholesale and Retail to deliver product that meets the company’s product strategies and margin goals. What you’ll do In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing and manufacturing, including the cost, quality, and delivery goals for HATCH Beauty and Apparel. This will involve implementing sourcing strategy for the product line; which may include new country and factory development, evaluating fabric, trim, and innovation/trend capabilities in current vendor base, and maintaining a system for ongoing vendor analysis, review of quality levels, cost efficiency, and product styling. The role will be focused on cost, product standards, and product delivery. • Establish and communicate a departmental placement strategy based on history, garment trends, new sourcing opportunities and changing needs of the business., • Develop new agents, countries and factories to hit costing targets and support business needs., • Manage the relationships with key vendors and agents for the department., • Manage costing responsibilities, which include the negotiation of costs, setting of costing targets and preparation of high-level pre-costing analysis., • Oversee the in-season production processes while keeping all cross-functional teams updated on production status, approvals and deliveries., • Responsible for purchase order creation and maintenance of accurate orders, cost, and delivery. Oversee any data entry support provided that data is correct and updated timely., • Manage production calendars to ensure timeliness of deliverables., • Troubleshoot, problem solve, and suggest “best practices” of construction details while maintaining company aesthetic, cost margins and deliverables., • Develop product to meet our global product testing and compliance requirements., • Implement goals and initiatives for self and team to drive efficiencies and process improvement., • Align cross-functionally to drive effective, quick, decision-making., • Liaise with finance on cash flow planning and weekly payment schedules., • Maintain company metrics of business volume by vendor for negotiating power., • Support manager on key business initiatives for strategic counter sourcing, purchasing power, and reaction to global climate (i.e. tariffs.) What you’ll bring • Bachelors’ degree with a minimum of 6 years of production/product development experience., • Experience with overseas and domestic production preferred. Full mastery of development and production process required., • Expertise of woven and knitwear. Additional understanding of denim and underpinnings preferred., • Ability to understand factory capabilities to direct development into most appropriate locations., • Experienced in price negotiating, problem solving and the management of delivery schedules., • Extensive experience managing relationships with vendors and agents as well as with internal partners. Strong relationships with mills and trim vendors., • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization., • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment., • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency., • Excellent oral and written communication., • Strong interpersonal skills for building working relationships within teams., • Strong time management and organizational skills to establish priorities and meet specific timelines.
