Job Description Job Title: 2nd Shift Material Handler Schedule: Monday- Thursday 4:30pm- 3am Pay: $20-23/hr + 10% Shift Differential ($22-25/hr) Location: Mesa, AZ (by the Mesa Gateway Airport) Job Description The 2nd Shift Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by safely moving, storing, and tracking materials throughout a modern, air-conditioned facility. This role ensures production lines receive materials on time, inventory remains accurate, and all material handling activities follow established safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas, including the production floor, warehouse, and shipping areas., • Supply production lines with the materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules and maintain uninterrupted production., • Assist with inventory control by performing cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor., • Properly label and store materials in assigned locations to optimize space and ensure easy accessibility., • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in accordance with all safety guidelines., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while following safety procedures and OSHA regulations., • Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or process concerns to the supervisor immediately., • Use RF scanners and related technology to track materials entering and leaving inventory and to record storage locations., • Load and unload shipments, organize inventory, and ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner., • Support the production side of operations through accurate and efficient material handling activities., • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance material handling processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste., • Assist with documenting and tracking material storage locations and stock levels to help ensure adequate inventory is available., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and HVAC-related operations as needed. Essential Skills • 1–2 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC-related industry., • Experience working in an HVAC or manufacturing environment., • Proficiency in material handling within a manufacturing warehouse, including loading and unloading shipments and organizing inventory., • Ability to use an RF scanner to track materials entering and leaving inventory and to record storage locations., • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks to support production and warehouse operations., • Ability to document and track material storage locations and stock levels to help ensure adequate product availability., • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with EPICOR is a plus., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail., • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams., • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities., • Effective written and verbal communication skills., • Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working with industrial and sheet metal fabrication environments is beneficial., • Comfort using industry 4.0 technologies and modern manufacturing tools., • Ability to contribute ideas to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives., • Willingness to work a 2nd shift schedule and occasional extended hours as needed., • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area., • Interest in supporting green industry and sustainable manufacturing initiatives. Work Environment This role is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility featuring state-of-the-art, industry 4.0 technology in Mesa, Arizona. The standard schedule for this position is a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. on a 4x10 schedule, with an associated shift differential. The environment includes production floors, warehouse areas, and shipping zones where forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and ERP systems such as EPICOR are used regularly. The physical requirements include the ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb portable ladders as needed. The role requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. Personal Protective Equipment is required in designated areas, and safety procedures aligned with OSHA regulations are strictly followed to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
