Job DescriptionDescription: Vice President, Property Management The Vice President (VP), Property Management at Prime Residential (Prime) provides operational leadership and performance management for a defined segment of Prime’s multifamily portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) or Head of Property Management, the VP is responsible for driving property-level performance, operational consistency, and delivering an exceptional resident experience. This role partners closely with senior leaders across Asset Management, Construction, Marketing, and other departments to execute tailored business plans, implement operational best practices, and optimize financial outcomes. The VP leads a team of Regional Managers and collaborates with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery across all communities. Success in this role requires a data-driven, financially astute leader with strong personnel management skills and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics. The VP fosters a service-first culture, ensures adherence to Prime’s brand standards, and proactively responds to changing regulatory, political, and competitive environments. This leader brings resilience, accountability, and continuous improvement to a dynamic, performance-focused organization. Region Details: The Vice President, Property Management will office out of San Diego or Los Angeles, CA. Portfolio Oversight & Operational Leadership • Oversee a portfolio of multifamily communities, ensuring operational performance aligns with Prime’s standards and financial goals., • Monitor property performance and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective action., • Partner with Asset Management and senior leadership to support business plans, capital initiatives, and investment strategies., • Lead the annual budgeting process for assigned properties and ensure adherence to approved budgets., • Analyze financial statements and property performance to drive revenue growth and expense control., • Identify opportunities to increase ancillary income, reduce costs, and improve profitability., • Support the implementation of operational improvements that drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the assigned portfolio., • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflow tools, and process documentation in collaboration with senior leadership., • Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging property and regional teams to identify process gaps and propose technology-driven or operational solutions., • Leverage portfolio-level performance data and KPIs to identify trends, refine practices, and improve service delivery and financial outcomes., • Lead and develop a team of Regional Managers and onsite leaders., • Conduct regular performance reviews, site visits, and coaching to support execution and engagement., • Foster a culture of accountability, service, and continuous learning., • Ensure high levels of resident satisfaction, retention, and service quality., • Collaborate with the marketing team on leasing strategies and reputation management., • Work closely with SVP, Property Management, and the Portfolio Operations team to align regional operations with broader business goals., • Partner with departments including Legal, Risk, Marketing, and Capital Projects to ensure smooth cross-functional execution., • Build relationships with local officials and organizations to stay ahead of policy changes, rent regulations, and housing legislation., • Represent Prime in industry associations to share insights, shape policy, and elevate multifamily standards., • Lead philanthropic and community initiatives that reflect Prime’s commitment to giving back and driving local impact., • Navigate municipal differences to ensure operational alignment with local regulations and expectations.
