This position is responsible for day-to-day maintenance, minor repairs, preventative upkeep, safety checks, and supporting the operations team with facility needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a behavioral health environment. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting., • Conduct daily and weekly facility safety checks and promptly address any identified issues., • Complete work orders efficiently and maintain clear documentation of tasks performed., • Troubleshoot and repair household fixtures and equipment (appliances, locks, lighting, etc.)., • Support staff with room setups, furniture assembly, and moving items as needed., • Ensure outdoor areas (walkways, patios, entryways) remain clean, safe, and well-maintained., • Monitor and report facility needs that require outside vendors or specialized contractors., • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance concerns to ensure the safety of clients and staff., • Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory and request replacements as needed., • Interact respectfully with clients and maintain professional boundaries at all times.Requirements: Qualifications • 2+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience preferred., • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical repairs, and general building upkeep., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely., • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision., • Experience working in healthcare, residential care, or behavioral health settings is a plus (not required)., • Must pass a background check and meet all health and safety requirements., • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
