Job Overview The Inventory & Facilities Specialistis responsible forestablishing, managing, andmaintainingcompany-wide inventory systems while overseeing day-to-day facilities operations. This role will play a critical part in implementing inventory controls withinLabguru,optimizingstorageand stocking strategies, and ensuringaccurateinventory consumption across all departments. The position will also manage facilities vendors and contractors and perform basichandymanand maintenance tasks as needed. This role works cross-functionally with all teams andclosepartners with the Director of Finance & Operations to ensure efficient operations, cost control, and a safe, well-maintained facility. Responsibilities: Inventory Management & Systems Implementation • Lead the implementation and setup of inventory tracking withinLabguru, including initial inventory build-out., • Work directly with each department to evaluate current inventory storage, ordering practices, andusageworkflows., • Establish standardized inventory processes, including receiving, labeling, storage, and consumption., • Train all employeesonproper inventory consumption and tracking procedures withinLabguru., • Perform routine and periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations., • Set andmaintainreorder points, safety stock levels, and minimum/maximuminventory thresholds., • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with internal procedures. InventoryAnalysis & Cost Control • Analyze inventory usage, spending patterns, and demand trends., • Partner with the Director of Finance & Operations todetermineoptimalstocking levels based on production and R&D demand., • Identifyopportunities to reduce waste, prevent stockouts, and improve cost efficiency., • Support forecasting and budgeting efforts related to inventory and supplies. Storage & Space Planning • Collaborate with leadership to design and allocate dedicated storage spaces for Production materials and R&D materials., • Ensure inventory storage areas are organized, labeled, and compliant with safety and operational standards. Facilities & Vendor Management • Overseefacilitiesoperations, including coordination with vendors, service providers, and contractors., • Schedule and manage routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections., • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related issues across departments., • Ensure facilities aremaintainedin a safe, functional, and professional condition. Handyman& On-Site Support • Perform basichandymanand maintenance tasks (e.g., minor repairs, equipment setup, furniture moves)., • Troubleshoot common facility issues and escalate when specialized services arerequired., • Support general operational needs related to facilities and infrastructure. Requirements: • Bachelors degree in biologypreferred., • Experience in inventory management, operations, facilities, or supply chain (laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred)., • Hands-on experience implementing or managing inventory systems (Labguruexperience a plus)., • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail., • Ability to train employees and enforce standardized processes, • Comfortable working cross-functionally with scientific, operations, and administrative teams., • Basichandymanskills and familiarity with common facility maintenance tasks., • Strong vendor management and communication skills., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities., • Strongproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word) applications preferred. Physical & Work Requirements: • Ability to lift and move inventory and equipment as needed., • Regular on-site presencerequired., • Hands-on role requiring time spent in storage areas, labs, and facility spaces.
