Together, we make things happen. About the Role PeopleConnect is looking for a Performance Marketing Strategist to join our award-winning team supporting the People Search division. This position reports to the Lead Performance Marketing Strategist, under the Senior Director, Acquisitions Marketing for PeopleConnect. The strategist will plan, execute, and optimize direct-response performance marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels to drive measurable results and support continued growth. Core Responsibilities Strategy and Planning * Develop and manage direct-response paid performance campaigns across SEM, Display, Native, and Programmatic platforms while meeting key KPIs. * Create and execute strategic media plans within relevant channels, partnering with product, creative, and content teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience. * Forecast and pace key metrics in support of divisional goals. * Set KPI targets and develop plans to achieve performance objectives. * Translate company and team goals into actionable marketing strategies. Execution and Optimization * Analyze campaign data to identify opportunities to scale conversions and improve efficiency. * Optimize media buys daily using KPI metrics and internal data to ensure profitability across impressions, clicks, conversions, ROAS, CPAs, CTRs, CPCs, CR, LTV, and retention. * Research and analyze data to uncover growth opportunities and improve targeting and scalability. * Monitor trends, tools, and opportunities in biddable environments and apply learnings to campaigns. * Collaborate with creative teams to deliver and refine effective campaign assets including ad copy, images, videos, and scripts. * Build and maintain vendor and partner relationships and assist in negotiating rates and terms. Analytics and Reporting * Report on channel performance with clear analysis and insights to inform decision-making. * Provide data for dashboards, presentations, and recommendations as needed. * Summarize account analysis and proactively share relevant insights with the broader team. Collaboration and Communication * Work cross-functionally to improve performance across channels, brands, and products. * Communicate proactively about changes to accounts, campaigns, and ads. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent). * 3–7 years of paid search and digital media planning/buying experience across SEM, Display, Native, Programmatic, Video, and more, encompassing strategy, execution, and optimization. * Proven experience managing direct-response performance and data-driven campaigns. * Strong understanding of analytics and performance marketing principles. * Hands-on experience with third-party platforms such as Google Ads, TikTok, Twitter, Taboola, Outbrain, and Campaign Manager 360. * Familiarity with Google Display Network (GDN) and Google Analytics. * Proficiency with media management, billing, and targeting tools. * Experience developing and executing A/B tests. * Demonstrated success managing partner relationships and negotiating rates and terms. * Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and Microsoft Office/Google Drive. * Knowledge of marketing math, analytics, and optimization techniques. Experience writing and testing ad copy for SEM, Native, Display, and Video. Skills and Attributes * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis. * Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. * Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. * Organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving skills. * Curious and eager to learn new tools, platforms, and business types. * Demonstrated business acumen and strategic judgment. Salary * Base Range: $84,700 – $105,600 (DOE) * This position is exempt (salaried). * The range reflects what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. Actual compensation depends on experience and qualifications.
