Job Description BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. Daily duties of this position is to provide top of the line services for the individuals on the team while providing quality service to the customers we provide a variety of services for. This is a hands-on position. The services that Beacon provides to our customers is dependent on the location and site needs. BENEFITS: • Competitive wages/salaries., • Minimum of one year of experience working with adults with disabilities., • Minimum of 6 months supervisory experience., • Minimum of one year of experience in field of work., • Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing to provide services to Behavioral Health clients referred by Arizona Complete Care Plans., • Specialized skills and certificates such as, but not limited to: Arborist, Chemical Spraying, Landscaping Design, and Warehousing, specifically Inventory and Process Management., • High school diploma or its equivalent., • Minimum of six months of experience working with adults with disabilities., • Increased technical skills related to field of work., • Successfully pass the drug test and background check., • CPR/First Aid certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/ First Aid Certification., • Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card., • Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test., • Article IX and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification., • Ability to obtain and maintain a GSA clearance., • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel., • Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb, and sit., • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted., • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted., • Ability to write accurate, clear, and informative case notes., • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc., • Ability to work, drive and travel independently to various sites., • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing., • Ability to follow instructions., • Ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and the public., • Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment., • Ability to use good judgment., • Ability to meet deadlines., • Ability to learn and use equipment., • Ability to use power tools, equipment, and machinery.
