Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description This role focuses on maintaining and repairing building systems, equipment, and machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently in alignment with organizational objectives. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on building systems, equipment, and machinery., • Observe devices in operation to identify sources of problems such as misalignment, wear, or malfunction., • Remove, examine, and replace defective parts using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment., • Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, and conveyor systems., • Use electrical schematics, PLC controls, and technical diagrams to diagnose and resolve equipment failures., • Conduct PLC troubleshooting to identify control issues and support production uptime., • Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment repair and modification., • Carry out electrical maintenance on AC/DC and high/low voltage systems, including 3-phase power., • Document all maintenance activities accurately, including repairs, parts used, and preventive maintenance tasks., • Align maintenance operations with customer and company objectives, prioritizing safety, quality, and reliability., • Collaborate with team members and other departments to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety procedures and guidelines.Essential Skills, • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment., • Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, including AC/DC and high/low voltage systems., • Experience working with 3-phase electrical systems., • Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics., • Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices for industrial equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams., • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and PLC control systems., • Ability to use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues., • Proficiency in basic math, including fractions, decimals, and units of measure., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting work and managing tasks., • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-task environments., • Experience performing electrical maintenance and mechanical repair on conveyor systems and related equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with HVAC maintenance and repair in an industrial setting., • Experience with conveyor system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting., • Basic welding skills to support equipment repair and fabrication., • Familiarity with plumbing systems in a manufacturing or industrial facility., • Experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment., • Comfort working with a variety of mechanical components and diagnostic tools.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility, where temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will work a 2-2-3 schedule on a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift, with initial training conducted during daytime hours. The role involves regular exposure to industrial equipment, conveyor systems, electrical panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems, requiring adherence to safety procedures and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent equipment interaction and physical activity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Clarksville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.89 - $28.89/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
