Job Description 4 R’s Role Most “event sales” jobs pay you to answer the phone. This role is responsible for generating predictable and profitable birthday sales. The City Forum is building a $1M+ birthday and events engine. The Birthday Sales Rep owns the front end of the birthday sales process by responding to inbound inquiries, converting leads into booked parties, increasing booking value, and maintaining an accurate and complete sales pipeline. This role works closely with the Birthday Coordinator to ensure sold events are delivered as booked. Requirements * Full-time position; approximately 40 hours per week * Availability to work weekends and peak business times * Prior proven experience selling products or services (phones, retail, hospitality, memberships, or similar) * Comfort being measured against performance metrics and scoreboards * Ability to accept feedback and adjust approach quickly * Comfort speaking with parents, handling objections, and solving problems through live conversations * Clear communication skills and basic computer skills, with the ability to learn company systems * Passion for providing an outstanding Guest Experience * Adaptability to Change Responsibilities * You own the front end of the birthday machine: * Respond to inbound birthday inquiries via phone, text, email, and walk-ins * Engage in direct, real conversations with prospective customers * Convert inquiries into booked birthday parties and collect deposits * Increase value at booking: * Sell upgraded packages, additional guests, food, add-ons, and credits * Keep the pipeline and CRM clean: * Log every lead * Track every contact attempt * Complete follow-ups * Coordinate delivery: * Work closely with the Birthday Coordinator to ensure sold parties are delivered as booked * Other duties as assigned Results (HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED) * This is an hourly, non-exempt role with performance tiers. * Hourly range: $15–$25 per hour * Performance is measured monthly using the following KPIs: * 24-hour Contact Rate * Inquiry-to-Booking Conversion Percentage * Lead Logging Percentage * Average Revenue per Party * Baseline performance typically aligns with $21–$23 per hour * Exceeding performance expectations may result in earning up to $25 per hour * Consistent underperformance may result in pay tier reduction or separation Physical & Cognitive Requirements * Ability to: * sit or stand for extended periods while working on phones and computer systems * use manual dexterity for computer, phone, and office work * manage multiple inquiries, follow-ups, and tasks simultaneously * remain calm, focused, and professional during high-volume or emotionally charged conversations * assess information, make decisions, and resolve issues quickly in a sales-driven environment * maintain focus, organization, and judgment while working toward performance goals * work in environments with variable temperatures * tolerate loud noises and flashing lights common to an entertainment venue * communicate clearly with potential guests, guests, and team members * manage multiple tasks simultaneously * remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments * maintain focus, organization, and judgment in a high-energy setting Essential Job Functions * Responding to inbound birthday inquiries via phone, text, email, and walk-ins * Engaging in live sales conversations with prospective customers * Converting inquiries into booked birthday parties and collecting deposits * Selling upgraded packages, additional guests, food, add-ons, and credits * Logging leads, tracking contact attempts, and completing follow-ups * Maintaining an accurate and current sales pipeline * Coordinating with the Birthday Coordinator to ensure sold parties are delivered as booked * Working scheduled hours, including weekends and peak business times * Communicating clearly, managing multiple tasks, and making real-time decisions in a sales-focused environment "This job description is designed to outline the primary responsibilities, key skills, and fundamental working conditions related to this role in a comprehensive manner.
