Job DescriptionIndustrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift $28-30/hr! Job Description This role supports a high-volume manufacturing facility that produces copper tubing components and brazed tube assemblies used in HVAC, refrigeration, automotive, and utility systems. The Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and improves production machinery and equipment to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation across the plant, starting on 1st shift for training and then transitioning to 2nd shift. Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and repair on a wide range of production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations., • Exercise sound mechanical judgment when diagnosing issues and determining appropriate repair methods., • Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems by identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions., • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with established maintenance plans and documentation., • Assist with installation, testing, and start-up of new or relocated equipment to ensure proper operation and integration into production lines., • Plan and implement corrective actions in conjunction with management direction to address equipment and process issues., • Maintain the building, equipment, and grounds in a clean, orderly, and safe condition., • Purchase or request maintenance supplies, replacement parts, and equipment components as needed or as directed., • Provide guidance and support to production associates on the proper use, care, and basic troubleshooting of machinery., • Comply with all safety standards, policies, and regulations, including lockout/tagout and other safety procedures., • Maintain a high standard of 5S housekeeping within the maintenance work area and in all areas where machinery and equipment repairs are performed., • Document maintenance activities as required and communicate equipment status and issues to supervisors and team members., • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment., • Two years of technical training strongly preferred in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field., • Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance repair, including troubleshooting and repairing production machinery., • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, fluid power, mechanical, and basic plumbing systems., • Strong electrical skills, including 3-phase power and electrical troubleshooting., • Experience with PLC troubleshooting in an industrial environment., • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in production machinery., • Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and related documentation., • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machinery operation., • Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills to understand procedures, complete documentation, and perform basic calculations., • Safety-oriented mindset with basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable regulatory standards., • Technical schooling or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical, or a related field is strongly preferred., • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment., • Ability to follow routers and work instructions accurately., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks., • Effective communication skills to collaborate with production associates and leadership. Work Environment The position is based in a typical manufacturing environment that supports the production of copper tubing components and brazed tube assemblies. Training occurs on 1st shift (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), with the regular schedule on 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), and flexibility is required for overtime and occasional assistance on other shifts. Work involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials and products up to 50 pounds while accessing and repairing machinery throughout the facility. The environment includes active production equipment, and the role requires consistent adherence to safety procedures and the 5S housekeeping system to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clarksville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
