As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related issues. You will support access control, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts while providing strong customer service. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $17.16 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 03:30 PM Why Join Us: • Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more., • Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities., • Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future., • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location., • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, processing areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter fencing as assigned., • Control access through designated entry points by verifying authorization, checking identification and/or badges, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in processes., • Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, including delivery, contractor, and service vehicles, and report irregular activity according to site procedures., • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including fire and gas alarm activations, spills, equipment malfunctions, medical events, and unauthorized access attempts., • Observe for potential hazards and unusual conditions such as leaks, odors, steam releases, blocked egress routes, and damaged fencing, then notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders., • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarm panels, access control devices, and two-way radios, and communicate clearly with site personnel as needed., • Complete detailed reports including shift activity logs, incident reports, patrol documentation, and key control or access logs, maintaining accurate and timely documentation., • Support contractor and visitor management by issuing temporary badges when authorized, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and providing directions to designated muster points and/or meeting locations., • Assist with emergency response coordination by guiding responders to incident locations, maintaining access routes, and helping with site notifications and accountability steps as directed by post orders., • Perform security-related checks of doors, gates, hatches, and secured areas during patrols, and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry or tampering., • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience., • Access control and badge experience is preferred., • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred., • A guard card and/or license is preferred., • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles., • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent., • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws., • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws., • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law., • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
