Job DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in managing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding across the organization. This position is responsible for delivering recruiting results by developing and executing local and regional hiring strategies, leveraging both traditional and creative sourcing methods, and supporting broader Human Resources initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Human Resources leadership to build strong, diverse talent pipelines while ensuring a smooth and consistent candidate and new-hire experience. Responsibilities include: • Identify recruiting needs by evaluating organizational goals, workforce plans, and hiring objectives, • Manage all aspects of the applicant tracking system (ATS), including requisition creation, candidate tracking, and reporting, • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, referrals, and other recruiting channels such as college fairs and employment agencies, • Create, review, and update job descriptions as needed, • Post and maintain job openings across multiple recruiting platforms, • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural alignment, • Coordinate and schedule on-site and virtual interviews with hiring managers, • Communicate regularly with hiring managers regarding candidate progress and hiring timelines, • Provide timely updates to candidates throughout the interview and selection process, • Develop and maintain recruiting best practices in partnership with Human Resources leadership, • Negotiate and extend employment offers for open positions, • Coordinate pre-employment screenings, including background and drug testing, • Manage onboarding logistics, including start-date coordination, system access, training setup, and new hire orientation, • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all employment documentation is completed, uploaded, and maintained accurately, • Enter and maintain employee data across HR and payroll systems, • Maintain confidentiality while building positive relationships with employees, agencies, and external partners, • Update organizational charts, internal documentation, and employee records, • Support administrative tasks such as filing, document management, and recordkeeping, • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, • Prior experience working with an applicant tracking system required, • Experience with ADP recruiting tools preferred, • Working knowledge of Human Resources and recruiting best practices, • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition; staffing or technology-focused recruiting experience a plus, • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite #HOUWC46 #ZRCompany DescriptionAbout Burnett Specialists Burnett Specialists is a top-ranked, 100% employee-owned recruiting firm with over 50 years of expertise in connecting top talent with exceptional companies.
