The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging. The candidate must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and be experienced with multiple MRI platforms. • Specialty: MRI Technologist, • Department: Radiology – MRI, • Setting: Acute Care / Outpatient, • Shift: 8-Hour Shifts, • Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week, • Contract Length: 13 Weeks, • Local Candidates AcceptedRoles and Responsibilities, • Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to physician orders and department protocols., • Prepare and position patients appropriately for MRI examinations., • Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, contraindications, and required documentation., • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality., • Utilize multiple MRI systems including Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment., • Document patient information, imaging procedures, and technical details accurately in the electronic medical record., • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care., • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all hospital and departmental policies., • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies., • Maintain equipment functionality and report any technical issues promptly., • Ensure adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and MRI safety standards., • No floating to other departments is required.Skills, • Strong knowledge of MRI procedures and patient safety protocols., • Experience working in outpatient and acute care imaging environments., • Proficiency with Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI systems., • Familiarity with GE PACS and EPIC charting systems., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume imaging department., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical setting.Requirements, • Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience required., • Current ARRT (R) certification required., • Current ARRT (MR) certification required., • Current BLS certification required., • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required., • Experience with Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment is required., • Experience using EPIC and GE PACS preferred., • Must be eligible to work in the United States.Additional Information, • No floating or cross-coverage required., • Orientation hours to be determined., • Experience in outpatient imaging strongly preferred.
