Job Summary The Government Insuring Specialist II is responsible for reviewing FHA, VA and USDA loans for endorsement/guarantee in accordance with applicable guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Audits the closed loan file to ensure all documents required by FHA, VA or USDA are present, complete and accurate in order to submit the insuring application to the appropriate agency and obtain the insuring certificate/guaranty., • Remits the UFMIP, VAFF and USDA fees timely and accurately as required by FHA, VA and USDA., • Prepares loan files in the appropriate stacking order for HUD and VA audit file requests., • Submits loan deficiencies for remediation as needed., • Reviews and responds to Notice of Rejects (NOR) timely and accurately., • Validates the insuring status and accuracy of acquired loans. Education • High school diploma or GED equivalent required., • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a government insuring environment, • Demonstrated knowledge of FHA, VA and USDA requirements for loan insurance applications., • Knowledge and familiarity of key loan documents 92900A, IRRRL Worksheets, Closing Disclosure, etc., • Attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures and guidelines is mandatory., • Ability to work independently in a remote role while meeting deadlines and achieving desired results., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment., • Personal ownership for learning and growth in role., • Effective written and verbal communication skills. Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
