Job Description Diesel Mechanic Job Description We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Pinto Brothers Disposal. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles, including garbage trucks and other heavy equipment. Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment this includes diesel heavy trucks and engines. Utilizing diagnostic software, the Mechanic is responsible for interpreting failure modes and initiate or assign necessary repairs. At times, the Mechanic may be on call, and required to assist with emergency breakdowns. Responsibilities: • · Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment., • · Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections., • · Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot problems., • · Communicate with the operations team to ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained according to schedule., • · Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used., • · Keep a clean and safe work area. Position Summary East Coast Container is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class B Delivery Driver to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and picking up refuse dumpsters, transporting equipment to customer locations, and assisting service and installation crews with the setup and installation of roll-off compactors. This position combines commercial driving, customer service, equipment handling, and hands-on field support. Candidates must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Operate company vehicles requiring a CDL Class B license in a safe and professional manner. · Deliver, position, exchange, and remove refuse dumpsters at customer locations. · Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. · Ensure compliance with NYC and DOT regulations and company safety policies. · Secure loads and verify equipment are transported safely. · Load, unload, and move equipment, tools, and materials as needed. · Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and service records. · Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch personnel, and team members. · Inspect equipment for damage and report maintenance concerns. · Keep vehicles, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. · Assist with general warehouse and yard duties when required. This is a full time, Union, non-exempt, hourly position with an overnight schedule starting anywhere between 7pm and 9pm, Sunday evening through Friday evening but may vary depending on business needs. Our Waste Collection Roll-Off Driver’s main responsibility is to safely operate a Roll-Off Truck, for the pick-up service of containers filled with waste or recyclable material. A minumum of 1 year of experience driving and operating a Roll Off Truck is required. Job Description The Environmental Engineering Unit of the Port Authority?s Engineering Department , Design Division is seeking two (2) Environmental Engineers. The engineers shall serve as Environmental Engineering Task Leaders on projects at multiple Port Authority facilities and provide general environmental engineering support. Work Schedule & Location The engineers shall work up to five days per week on the same full-time hybrid schedule as Port Authority staff.
