Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President of Digital at Giant Noise is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for leading and shaping the Digital Department. This role partners closely with PR and Creative leadership to drive integrated strategies and ensure the agency delivers cohesive, innovative work. As a senior leader, the VP of Digital plays a critical role in guiding the agency’s direction, strengthening cross-departmental collaboration, and fostering team growth. Giant Noise is a full-service agency spanning PR, Creative and Digital, and this role is essential in connecting our disciplines, ensuring collaboration, and driving brand-enhancing work for our clients. Success in this role requires balancing two equally important priorities: • Partnering to grow new digital business by leveraging industry connections and collaborating with the new business team on proposals, pitches, and client opportunities., • Providing strong leadership to the digital team. Retaining, coaching and developing talent, and serving as a leader who builds strong partnerships across departments. The VP of Digital must be both a go-getter and a people person: someone who thrives in new business conversations, understands every working area of digital (brand strategy, digital strategy, paid media, organic social and influencer), and loves collaborating to achieve shared wins for the organization. They will also work closely with finance to set and achieve departmental financial goals, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability. RESPONSIBILITIES: Management & Leadership • Provide strong leadership to the Digital Department, coaching and developing senior leaders and mentoring individual contributors., • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and growth across the team., • Recruit, hire and retain top digital talent, creating career paths and opportunities for advancement., • Serve as both a coach and culture-builder, ensuring the team feels supported, inspired and aligned. Business Development & Partnerships • Partner closely with the Business Development Department to proactively identify and secure new digital business., • Leverage deep industry connections and personal networks to bring in opportunities and expand the agency’s digital footprint., • Actively contribute to new business pitches, proposals and presentations, working collaboratively with PR and Creative leaders., • Partner with the Senior Creative Director on client opportunities where digital and creative intersect. Strategic & Technical Expertise • Provide leadership across the full scope of digital: brand strategy, digital strategy, paid media, organic (SEO, content, social), and influencer marketing., • Oversee the Sr. Director of Strategy in delivering best-in-class strategies and playbooks that connect clients to their audiences in innovative ways, while establishing clear standards for department strategy, reporting and service offerings., • Own the annual P&L for the Digital department, working with finance to achieve financial targets., • Monitor budgets, profitability, resourcing and efficiency to ensure departmental success., • Provide input on pricing for digital services to align profitability with client value., • Collaborate with Creative, PR, Account Services and Business Development leaders to ensure integrated strategies and seamless execution across disciplines., • Actively contribute to building a unified leadership team, strengthening Giant Noise’s cross-departmental collaboration., • Champion the digital perspective in agency-wide planning and goal setting. QUALIFICATIONS: • 15+ years of experience in the digital industry, with expertise across brand and digital strategy, paid media, organic social/SEO and influencer marketing., • 10+ years of direct management experience with proven success in leading and developing teams., • Prior agency experience is required, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment., • Established network across the digital and social industry, providing mentorship, strategic insights, and access to specialized expertise., • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Media, Communications, or related field., • Deep familiarity across digital disciplines: brand strategy, digital strategy, paid media, organic social and influencer marketing., • Demonstrated ability to translate consumer, cultural and platform trends into actionable strategies., • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to recruit, mentor and retain top talent., • Business and financial acumen, including managing P&L, budgets and departmental profitability., • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work seamlessly across PR, Creative and Digital to drive integrated client solutions., • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present persuasively to clients and internal stakeholders, • Strong organizational and operational skills, with the ability to set clear goals, monitor progress, and deliver results. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Physical Demands: Sitting 85% of the time, standing 15% of the time., • Working Hours: Typically, work hours are from 9:00 AM CST to 6:00 PM CST, Mondays through Fridays. Availability to work as needed on nights and weekends may be required., • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 20-50 lbs. as necessary., • Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers for computer use., • Sensory Function: Everyday use of vision and audio senses, including exposure to blue light from computers., • Environment: Work primarily indoors in an environmentally controlled setting. However, occasional travel and the ability to work in-office and on-site for client related meetings and events may be necessary., • Communication: Daily communication with peers, media, and clients is essential to the role.
