Job Description AR/Revenue Accountant You are an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple revenue streams. You enjoy working with both data and people, balancing technical accounting with relationship-building across departments. This position pays: $30/hour Location: San Francisco, CA — Onsite Monday through Wednesday, remote Thursday and Friday (32 hours/week) What you will be doing: • Managing the general AR inbox as the first point of contact, • Organize and categorize incoming emails (billing, payments, discrepancies), • Respond to inquiries, resolve recurring issues, and escalate complex matters to the Revenue Manager, • Ensure timely follow-up and professional communication, • Leading daily cash and transaction management, • Download daily composite reports from banking portals, • Prepare Daily Cash Report, reconcile disbursements, and confirm transactions, • Investigate discrepancies or unknown activity, • Handling deposits and mail processing, • Open Finance department mail and route appropriately, • Collect, prepare, and deposit checks from multiple departments, • Scan supporting documentation, deposit via desktop scanner, and complete in-person deposits as needed, • Supporting revenue reconciliation and reporting, • Review and reconcile CRM entries (ROI) to cash receipts (cash, checks, EFTs, credit cards), • Resolve transaction errors such as duplicate entries or incorrect amounts, • Align CRM deposit batches with bank deposits and post journal entries in Sage Intacct, • Prepare monthly account analyses for revenue-related asset and liability accounts, • Providing ad hoc and urgent support, • Apply cash to open invoices, • Process billing requests and distribute invoices, • Run and share AR/collections reports with stakeholders, • Assist with collections activity to ensure timely payments What you bring: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or related accounting roles, • Strong communication skills; able to adapt across staff, donors, and external partners, • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and MS Office Suite, • Experience with Sage Intacct, ROI CRM, WideOrbit, and Google Sheets preferred, • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure, • Professionalism, dependability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving To learn more about the workplace culture and the position, please apply!
