Job Description The Mental Health Association is seeking a Crisis Outreach Supervisor for our new program, 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, operating out of the Hudson County location. The 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program will respond to adults (18 and above) in nonlife-threatening situations who have contacted the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program (MCORT) responds 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use or suicidal crises in the community. MCORT will work in coordination with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline crisis centers. (The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was formerly the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.) MCORT is to be comprised of a two-person team in the field under remote supervision by a third professional from a centralized location. Work Performed: • Perform all of the maintenance and repair functions on the water distribution system including, but not limited to, hand excavation, jack hammering, backfilling, paving, concrete repairs, pipe cutting and fitting; copper cutting, flaring and fitting; valve repair, hydrant repair, valve box and curb box repair; snow shoveling and plowing under the supervision of the jobsite Foreman., • Learn to install or replace meters and remote read systems; troubleshoot and repair remote read systems and wiring; locate, access, clean and operate curb boxes as necessary in conjunction with meter installations, shut offs and other service related work; checks for illegal and/or cross connections and evidence of meter tampering; performs shut offs, meter reading and other related service work as assigned., • Safely operates all tools and equipment and promptly reports all needed repairs., • Maintain company assigned vehicles in a clean and safe condition at all times. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong DBT training program, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, integrated re- entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Summary of Position This is an hourly position reporting to the Director of the Forensic Psychiatric Evaluation Court Clinics (FPECC) in the Division of Correctional Health Services. Job Description The Mental Health Association is seeking Per Diem Mobile Crisis Outreach Responders for our new program, 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, operating out of Hudson County The Per Diem 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program will respond to adults (18 and above) in nonlife-threatening situations who have contacted the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program (MCORT) responds 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use or suicidal crises in the community. MCORT will work in coordination with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline crisis centers. (The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was formerly the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.) MCORT is to be comprised of a two-person team in the field under remote supervision by a third professional from a centralized location. Shifts are on an as-needed basis for this position. Summary Reporting to the Program Director/Director of Social Services/Social Services Supervisor, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional and clinical nursing care to clients in their residences/programs. The LPN assesses, develops and implements nursing care needs and case management services to clients. Responsibilities Program/Facilities • Advocates for clients regarding plans for medical and psychiatric care., • Assists with intake, medical update and documents medical data in client database system(s)., • Documents client progress and reports significant changes in an accurate and timely manner in client database system(s)., • Monitors client behavior, medical and mental health well-being, and medication intake., • Coordinates patient care with program staff, care coordinators and external providers including medical, mental health, and community resources., • Assesses, collaborates and coordinates discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the health care team as required by Urban Pathways and funding and regulatory agency policies and procedures., • Monitors client self-administration of medication in accordance with Urban Pathways policies and procedures., • Works closely with program management to manage crisis situations. Reports incidents within 24 hours., • Communicates with medical/mental health providers and program management regarding changes in client condition and/or significant health related events such as post-operative complications and medication errors., • Assesses and communicates suicidal/homicidal risk factors and ideations., • Ensures that client care is compliant with Urban Pathways, funding and regulatory agency policies and procedures., • Maintains and submits all necessary documentation and reports accurately, in a timely manner and as required by Urban Pathways, regulatory and funding agency policies, and procedures., • Enters progress notes after each client meeting within 48 hours and/or as mandated by Program., • Completes Intake/Admission documentation within 24 hours of client admission, as mandated by Program., • Documents assessments in client records within required timeframe (not applicable for Outreach Program)., • Communicates verbally and in writing in a professional manner at all times., • Facilitates and participates in meetings to report on clients’ progress, share educational resources and discuss clients’ care and goals., • Attends staff meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions, as required. Qualifications Education and Experience • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing required., • Minimum of one year of medical/ nursing experience in an acute care hospital a plus., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)., • Knowledge of client database system(s)., • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities., • Strong assessment skills., • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness., • Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse required., • All programs require field work, client escorts and use of public transportation., • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, lift (up to 25 lbs.), type, write, read, speak, see, and hear.

Job DescriptionPosition Title: Legal Hotline Staff Attorney Reports To: Legal Hotline, Director FLSA Status: Exempt Legal Hotline Staff Attorney – Part Time, Bilingual, Fully Remote The City Bar Justice Center (CBJC) seeks a bilingual attorney committed to expanding access to justice to join us as a fully remote, part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Legal Hotline Staff Attorney. CBJC provides high-quality, free civil legal services benefiting over 27,000 New Yorkers each year who lack the resources to hire private counsel. With a staff of just under 50, CBJC also relies on expansive partnerships with law firms, corporate legal departments, the courts, the City Bar, and other stakeholders who support and work with CBJC’s dozen civil legal services projects. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: • Serve as part of a team of staff attorneys who answer questions and provide legal assistance on CBJC’s high-volume Legal Hotline, which typically responds to approximately 1,000 calls and online inquiries per month., • Provide callers/online applicants with legal information, advice, and referrals on a range of civil legal issues., • Occasionally conduct follow-up brief services, such as reviewing legal documents and helping callers draft simple court pleadings., • Enter clean data and succinct notes into our case management system for each caller/online applicant., • Candidates must be New York bar members in good standing with at least three years of relevant practice experience, preferably in nonprofit legal services and/or with a focus on landlord/tenant, family/matrimonial, and/or consumer law., • Professional fluency in a language in addition to English is required., • We seek a detail-oriented self-starter with superb legal judgment and a capacity to multi-task who is creative, thoughtful, tech savvy, and has high standards in work quality, and who can demonstrate a commitment to racial and economic justice and to serving those who struggle with a lack of resources., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work both independently and with a team., • Excellent people and client counseling skills, including effectively interacting with members of the public in a respectful and sensitive way, many of whom suspect institutions and the legal profession, and some of whom struggle with mental illness., • Collegiality and being able to communicate and work collaboratively with other staff attorneys via online platforms such as Slack and Teams. Salary for this position is $40,000-$50,000 (annualized) based on experience and a 20 hours/week schedule.
