Job Description Quest International is looking to add a full-time Field Service Technician II (Hospital Pharmacy Robotics), currently residing in New York, to fulfill our customers’ needs across NY/NJ. Job Summary This role performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on advanced robotic compounding systems in hospital pharmacies, ensuring optimal device performance, patient safety, and workflow efficiency. You will inspect, service, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software components per manufacturer and regulatory specifications, collaborate closely with clinical staff to plan and execute work, and maintain thorough documentation while adhering to strict sterile compounding and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair robotic pharmacy compounding systems and related peripherals, • Execute preventive maintenance, calibrations, and functional/verification tests, • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software faults; perform corrective repairs, • Support integrations with hospital information systems and IV workflow tools, • Utilize gravimetric, barcode, and camera-based verification workflows, • Coordinate with clinical staff; occasional after-hours/on-call support, • Document work orders, parts usage, and service reports in digital systems, • Provide remote phone support and escalate complex issues when needed, • Travel across NY/NJ and manage schedules, routes, and site access requirements Required Skills and Experience • Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken and written), • Background in biomedical engineering or related technical field, • Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated/robotic electromechanical systems, • Knowledge of sterile compounding practices (USP 797/800) and hazardous drug safety, • Familiarity with HIS/EMR integrations and clinical workflows, • Proficiency with diagnostics for pharmacy automation (sensors, actuators, drives) and verification technologies (gravimetric, barcode, camera), • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods, • Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills Basic Computer Skills • Microsoft Word and Excel for service documentation and reports, • Comfortable with digital work-order, parts tracking, and ticketing tools, • Able to follow procedures in specialized service software Bonus / Preferred • CBET or CPhT certification; USP 797/800 training, • Experience with Omnicell, ARxIUM RIVA, APOTECA, BD/Pyxis, or similar pharmacy automation platforms, • Exposure to machine vision or verification cameras in regulated environments, • Cleanroom experience and familiarity with HL7/EHR integrations, • CompTIA A+ or related technical certifications Additional Details • Extensive regional travel; must use personal vehicle and be able to rent cars; valid driver’s license required, • Occasional after-hours and on-call work to meet clinical schedules, • Field-based role in hospital pharmacy settings with strict compliance and safety expectations
