Job Description The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) is the state's leading economic development organization with a streamlined mission to grow and strengthen Arizona's economy. The ACA uses a three-pronged approach to advance the overall economy: recruit, grow, create – recruit out-of-state companies to expand their operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to grow their business in Arizona and beyond; and partner with entrepreneurs and companies large and small to create new jobs and businesses in targeted industries. The Vice President of International Trade & Investment plays a critical leadership role in advancing Arizona's global trade and investment strategy. Based in Phoenix, this position drives operational excellence, data analytics, and cross-office coordination to ensure the effective execution of Arizona's international initiatives. This individual serves as the operational hub for Arizona's global offices, overseeing Salesforce CRM performance, managing inbound and outbound trade missions, and ensuring data-driven alignment across ACA's international activities. This position blends program management, international business development, and high-level coordination to help position Arizona as a global leader in trade, AI-driven innovation, and foreign direct investment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Leadership & Performance Management • Oversee day-to-day operational cadence for ACA's global offices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance metrics., • Manage Salesforce dashboards and analytics for trade, FDI, and export activities; ensure timely, accurate reporting and data integrity across all offices., • Lead quarterly reviews and annual reporting processes, integrating trade outcomes, project pipelines, and office performance., • Support budget management, contract oversight, and KPI tracking for all international representatives., • Plan, coordinate, and lead Arizona-led international trade missions, delegations, and inbound visits, representing the Arizona Commerce Authority and the State of Arizona in high-level meetings with government officials, business leaders, and industry partners., • Serve as a senior representative for the ACA during international events, ensuring alignment with Arizona's strategic objectives and diplomatic protocol., • Collaborate with global offices, U.S. Embassies, and international partners to ensure mission objectives, agendas, and follow-ups are achieved., • Support logistics, marketing, and reporting for Arizona's participation in global trade shows (e.g., SEMICON series, SelectUSA, and AMC events)., • Support trade expansion and FDI attraction efforts by identifying market opportunities, export trends, and investment targets., • Analyze trade data, industry intelligence, and partner country reports to guide outreach and strategy., • Coordinate Arizona's role in binational, regional, and global initiatives such as the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Canada Arizona Business Council, and efforts to position Arizona as North America's AI Gateway/America's Semiconductor HQ., • Serve as the CRM/Salesforce lead for the International Division—maintain reporting standards, user training, and system optimization., • Advance ACA's digital trade intelligence tools and reporting dashboards to enhance visibility of trade activity and outcomes., • Maintain ongoing communication with ACA leadership, the Governor's Office, and partner agencies., • Support legislative briefings, public communications, and visibility initiatives tied to Arizona's international trade strategy., • Bachelor's degree in international business, public administration, economics, political science, or a related field of study., • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing the responsibilities outlined above; this experience should showcase the ability to lead complex, data-driven programs and cross-functional teams., • Demonstrated experience planning and executing international missions, trade shows, and/or high-level public engagements., • Strong command of Salesforce CRM, data analytics, and performance reporting tools., • Excellent presentation, organizational, and diplomatic skills; ability to represent Arizona professionally in global forums., • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work., • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50% of time., • Spanish or another foreign language proficiency preferred., • Graduate degree in a related field of study., • Strategic & Analytical Thinking:, • Global Business Acumen, • Operational & Data Discipline, • Diplomatic Communication, • Cross-Cultural Leadership, • Project & Process Management
