ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. • Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/22/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights Location: New York Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our night shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a part of our nursing staff, you will be expected to manage patient care, support interdisciplinary teams, and provide guidance in various medical situations. Key Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients., • Manage up to 6 patients during the night shift with potential stretch ratios up to 7 on rare occasions., • Collaborate with PCTs and other support staff to ensure all vital signs, blood glucose checks, and daily living activities are carried out efficiently., • Oversee the care and management of PICC lines and central lines., • Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation., • Float between like units as necessary, maintaining a commitment to practice within professional scope., • Participate in continuous education and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in medical-surgical nursing. Qualifications: • Active NY nursing license in hand by the time of submission., • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical and/or telemetry setting., • Telemetry certification required., • Previous charge experience preferred, but not mandatory., • Proficient in utilizing Epic for patient care documentation., • Strong clinical skills, including but not limited to blood product administration, central line care, IV management, and telemetry interpretation., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Special Requirements: • BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS preferred., • Open to first-time travelers with necessary experience and certifications.
