About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take ownership of key accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and month-end close processes. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and efficient accounting workflows. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong hands-on experience managing the full accounting cycle. This individual should be comfortable both overseeing accounting processes and actively performing day-to-day accounting functions as needed. You will play a key role in improving financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and providing reliable financial information to support business decisions. This role offers broad exposure across accounting operations with opportunities to expand into more advanced accounting responsibilities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A initiatives as the company continues to grow. You will work closely with finance leadership as a trusted accounting partner while collaborating across departments to improve financial visibility and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Own and manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor management, payment processing, and resolving discrepancies, • Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, customer account management, collections support, aging analysis, and reconciliation of outstanding balances, • Maintain accurate general ledger records, ensuring proper classification, completeness, and accuracy of financial transactions, • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account maintenance, • Prepare and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly and as-needed basis, • Support and drive the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, • Analyze financial data and prepare internal reports for management review, • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and company policies, • Assist with process improvements, automation, and implementation of best practices across accounting workflows, • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, financial models, and reconciliations, • Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements as needed, • Partner with internal teams to resolve billing, payment, and accounting discrepancies, • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability within accounting operations, • Contribute to building a strong, collaborative finance function aligned with company goals, • Support future initiatives related to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred), • 5+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of accounting operations, • Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, • Experience managing the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close, • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis), • Experience with accounting systems/ERP software (Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar), • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment, • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities, • Strong problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset Salary: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Job Type: Full-time, In-Person We are currently only considering candidates who already live within commuting distance of our office.
