Job Description GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Embedded software design for monitoring and controlling RF power supplies and matching networks. GUI design, PC based software utility design for statistical process control. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Efficient code design for existing hardware., • Development of new human-machine interfaces., • Code conversion from BASIC to C++, • Knowledge of IoT connectivity. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of Two to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, or Resource Planning software. Must be proficient with BASIC, C++, and Python programming languages. Knowledge of Verilog is a plus. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Understanding of basic logarithmic scales. Reasonable understanding of Polar <> Rectangular conversions and basic formulas for AC reactance (knowledge of the Smith Chart a plus). REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands.
