Job Description🔌 Electronic Repair Technician – 1st Shift | Full Benefits | Creative Repair Work PAY: $33-40+/hr 📍 Buffalo, NY ⏰ 1st Shift (Flexible start: 6am–8am) 👥 Small, collaborative technical team (16 techs / 28 employees overall) 🎯 About the Role Join a highly respected electronics repair team specializing in the restoration of industrial electronic controls for OEMs, service companies, and end users across the country. If you enjoy creative problem‑solving, hands‑on diagnostics, and understanding how complex circuits work, this role provides the perfect blend of challenge, autonomy, and technical growth. You’ll repair HMIs, drives, power supplies, logic boards, and more, all while working in a supportive environment that values curiosity and craftsmanship. 🛠 Key Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electronic controls (HMIs, drives, power supplies, motor controls), • Identify and select correct replacement components, • Create partial schematics when documentation is limited, • Test repaired devices thoroughly to ensure full functionality, • Document repair details and maintain accurate ERP records, • Provide advanced training and mentorship to junior technicians, • Assist sales with labor & material estimates for customer quotes✔ Must Haves, • Associate’s degree in Electronics OR 5+ years hands‑on electronics repair experience, • Strong troubleshooting skills for analog & digital circuits down to the component level, • Proficiency in soldering & desoldering (through‑hole + SMD), • Ability to read schematics, even with limited documentation, • Experience using meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, • Ability to bend, lift, and twist up to 50 lbs, • Natural curiosity and a creative problem‑solving mindset⭐ Additional (Nice to Have), • Experience with Huntron diagnostic tools, • Ability to perform advanced corrective action analysis, • Complex SMD rework on challenging boards, • Experience designing circuits or using PCB schematic tools, • Ability to build custom test fixtures, • Writing training documentation for technicians, • Supporting pricing definition for quotes or web listings🎁 Perks & Benefits (What Makes This Role Stand Out!), • 100% employer‑paid medical insurance for single/individual plans, • Dental & Vision coverage included, • Flexible lunch breaks, • 401(k) retirement plan, • Team Events:, • Holiday lunches 🎄, • Cookouts 🌭, • Regular employee appreciation activities 🎉, • Supportive leadership and easy access to management, • Ongoing training and development opportunities, • Stable company known for quality, reliability, and technical excellence🏭 Work Environment, • 28‑employee operation with a tight‑knit, 16‑person technician team, • Laboratory/industrial repair setting with organized benches and tools, • 1st shift Monday–Friday, with flexible start times between 6am–8am Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
