Position Summary The General Property Management Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and upkeep of rental properties under the management of the company. This role plays a critical part in maintaining tenant satisfaction, property value, and overall operational efficiency. The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate closely with other team members. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to the following: Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repairs: • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs to ensure properties are in good condition., • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential repairs., • Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance requests to address urgent issues such as leaks, power outages, and heating/cooling failures., • Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to proactively address potential issues and extend the lifespan of property systems and equipment., • Communicate with tenants regarding maintenance requests, repairs, and scheduled maintenance activities., • Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and related activities., • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards., • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and materials., • Maintain the exterior of properties, including landscaping, cleaning common areas, and addressing issues related to curb appeal., • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance-related trades preferred., • Proven experience as a skilled maintenance worker or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in various maintenance disciplines., • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities, with a keen eye for detail and precision., • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders., • Flexible schedule and availability to respond to after-hours emergencies or weekend maintenance tasks as needed., • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of work., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
