Position Overview As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing Paladin’s sales strategy, managing the sales team, and driving top-line revenue growth across public safety, municipal, and enterprise security markets. You’ll work closely with leadership, marketing, and product teams to expand market presence, expand our pipeline, and close deals. This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with flexible remote work and occasional travel to customers, partners, and industry events. Key Responsibilities • Team Organization & Objectives, • Design and run the sales operating system (territories, AE/SDR pairing, goals, cadences) aligned to company OKRs., • Clarify roles (AEs close, SDRs create pipeline) and enforce crisp handoffs with AM/CS for renewals and expansion., • Process & Discipline, • Implement stage definitions, exit criteria, mutual close plans, and rigorous HubSpot hygiene (pipelines, properties, tasks)., • Run a consistent weekly rhythm: pipeline + forecast, Outbound Review (AEs/SDRs), International/Distributor Review, and Marketing sync., • Pipeline Generation, • Sharpen ICP, lists, messaging, and sequences; increase SDR output and meeting quality., • Partner with Marketing on SEO/inbound, content, customer stories, and event strategy (pre-bookings, talk tracks, client dinners)., • Strategic Deals & Field Leadership, • Lead late-stage pursuits, exec-to-exec alignment with chiefs/decision-makers, and on-site demos; set the standard for discovery and negotiation., • Channel/International, • Stand up a structured distributor program (qualification, enablement, joint forecasting) and convert meetings into revenue., • Systems & Reporting, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus)., • 7+ years of experience in B2B sales leadership roles, preferably in technology, drones, robotics, public safety, or security sectors., • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth., • Experience selling to government agencies, public safety departments, and enterprise security teams is highly preferred., • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performance sales teams., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills., • 7–10+ years B2B sales with 3–5+ years leading AEs/SDRs in complex/technical sales (GovTech/public safety/robotics or dual software + hardware a plus)., • Proven record building outbound engines and improving win rate/cycle time with a consistent methodology (e.g. Challenger)., • Experience with government procurement, RFPs, security/compliance reviews., • Mastery of HubSpot (pipelines, sequences, reporting) and forecast accuracy., • Hands-on coach who can inspect, unblock, and close—while scaling a repeatable system., • Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment., • Competitive salary, commission, and equity packages, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays, • Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven, innovative company H8Apzx8w8M
