Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 01/05/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: Santa Monica, CA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30) with rotational call coverage (weekdays 4-11 PM, weekends/holidays 7-11 PM) Job Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, 3-phase studies, limited and whole-body scans, shunt studies, abdominal, ventricular, and myocardial scans. Administer pharmacological stress agents (Adenosine, Persantine) and conduct exercise/rest studies. Conduct SPECT imaging for bone, brain, liver, renal, and thyroid studies, including parathyroid scans. Perform lymphoscintigraphy studies, including tracer injection. Handle additional nuclear medicine procedures: renal flow, captopril studies, liver imaging, tumor localization, Hida, gastric emptying. Start and maintain IVs, perform EKGs, and operate PACS systems. Maintain patient care standards and follow sterile technique and radiation safety protocols. Provide call coverage on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required. Required Skills & Certifications: Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience. Certifications: BLS, NMTCB, ARRT. Experience with:\nAdult and geriatric patient populations\nCommunity hospital settings\nNuclear medicine imaging procedures listed above\nAbility to perform lymphoscintigraphy studies (technologist injecting tracer).\nMust be able to work on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays.\nMust hold a valid California Nuclear Medicine license.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with Epic charting system.\nPrevious work in hospital or clinic nuclear medicine settings.\nFamiliarity with Phillips nuclear medicine equipment.\n\nWork Settings:\nHospital and clinic nuclear medicine departments.\nInterdisciplinary support available, including interpretation services and transportation assistance.\n\nAdditional Notes:\nPatient ratios: 1:2 (day), 1:1 (night/weekend).\nFirst-time travelers accepted.\nMust be willing to float between facilities if required.\nBackground and license checks required prior to start.
