Job Description Accountant, Controllership TeamKey Responsibilities: • Preparation and Upload of Journal Entries – including, but not limited to:, • Prep Theatrical Acquired Journal Entries – support the monthly close process by preparing and uploading journal entries in Oracle which affect Acquired amort as well as Inventory, Intercompany and programming liability positions, as well as other ad hoc reclass entries as needed., • Prep Intercompany Journals – Prepare and upload journal entries for transactions between various divisions within Paramount Global. Specifically, content reclasses., • Prep Inventory reclasses and accruals. – Negative assets gross up entries and reclasses of prod costs to respective film groups., • Assist in uploading entries to Oracle from other team members as required., • Assist with Affiliate Cash Receipts – Specifically the CMR’s (Cash movement requests) we get from affiliate team to move co-mingled cash to correct customers; this may also include ICO entries to move cash to other ICO divisions. Assist in preparing cash receipts schedules and monitor clearing accounts to make sure everything has been booked correctly to the proper GL account., • Intercompany confirmations, Balance Reconciliations and various submissions – assist with thorough month-end reviews of intercompany balances, collaborating across divisions to reconcile discrepancies and ensure alignment. Prepare related LT ICO reports for submission to Corp and various division teams. Specifically for content., • Balance sheet Recs – since oracle conversion we haven’t been able to ‘catch up’ on usual account recs. Materiality/risk is low but I want to start to maintain a process. This will need to be initially investigated and created before being maintained quarterly., • Cognos report testing – this will be time permitting. I want someone to help us get the Cognos reporting needs completed. This will include looking at existing Studio reports and fine tuning for our needs as well as some custom reporting requirements., • Support Month End and Quarter End Close by:, • Monthly Cash flow prep and Submissions – Prepare the monthly cash flow report, • Prepare and reconcile theatrical assets, Liabilities and amort against LVP balances and offline RFs to make sure we are aligned. (Sox Control), • Original series/Acquired PnL Reconciliation vs P+ amort schedules at title level to make sure we are aligned.
