Full job description Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities: - Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance processes. - Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. - Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers. - Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing. - Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. - Assist with patient education by explaining procedures, medications, and follow-up care instructions. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans. - Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. - Bilingual in Mandarin and English - Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic medical procedures. - Proficiency in medical coding and electronic health record systems. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff members. - Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional patient service and maintaining patient confidentiality. Requirements: Maintains Patient Charts/record/clinic logs and database as necessary. Appointment scheduling, registration and insurance verification. Collects specimens. Competence in auditory testing, visual testing, EKG, venipuncture and taking vitals. Keeps examination rooms neat and clean. Manages time and other resources to meet established goals within the agreed upon time frames. Observes the Health Care System’s compliance policies. Ensures that all patients, visitors, and guests, as well as co-workers receive personalized, prompt attention and are treated with receptiveness, dignity and respect.
